>> THAT makes Trump a huckster <<

Cut it out. If Mr. Trump is a huckster, then hucksterism is a very good thing.

Get with the program.

I know—it is getting old.

There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.

Prove the money exists first

Hello? That is not how the system works. Every state has laws defining the burden of the fiduciary of any charity to make a clear and complete accounting. Your suggestion that some private citizen has to prove up the money that Donald Trump controls is utterly absurd. He is the one who controls it, he is the one, the only one who has the capacity to render an accounting.

The burden is on Trump as it is with every fiduciary to come forward and make a complete accounting of what came in and what went out. In effect, the fiduciary has the obligation to prove his innocence.

Hey, did you know that the donations were pledges? And the money he received was dispersed to the list of charities he posted.

So yes, if the pledge money does not show up, it isn't "stolen". You can't steal something that does not exist. And according to our Constitution, you are innocent, until proven guilty.

So again, PROVE THE MONEY EXISTS FIRST

“Article says that they raised six million and distributed 2.4 million to vetrans groups so far. “

My linked article says prior to this event they raised millions but distributed only $75k ...

Seriously, the lunacy of a guy who goes around this board posting a picture of Nathan Bedford Forrest while continually condemning Trump for any and all transgressions. And anyone should take your opinion seriously?

Key points:
  1. Donald Trump claims to have raised $6 million ("raised" amount, not "pledges").
  2. 19 of 22 groups reported receipts.
  3. Those 19 groups have received only $2.4 million from Trump's foundation or associates.
  4. Of the other three charities:
    • One has received nothing, but has not completed the paperwork.
    • One declined to report a number.
    • One did not respond to the survey.
  5. $3.4 million is unaccounted for. There appears to be a yuge amount of administration expense, fraud, waste and abuse.

If one has evidence he has no intention of distributing the rest one can make that charge...but I don’t see any such evidence.

My understanding was the original list of 22 were charities under consideration and would get money only if they passed vetting. Other charities beyond these 22 could have been added and received money. The only way this would be known in full is if Trump campaign disclosed this information.

“Seriously” you Trump bots are so tediously predictable, you will attack me to divert an open reader’s mind away from the facts. For those readers who are open-minded I reproduce here one of the replies which predicts your personal attack against me:

Let’s see, you imply:
The story is not about the missing money.

The story is not about the series of allegations over the years of fraud lodged against Donald Trump.

The story is not about the hush money Donald Trump paid yesterday to buy the silence of those who sued him for fraud.

The story is not about the need for an accounting by Trump.

No, the story is all about me.

The charge made in the headline of this article is:

Veterans Still Haven't Received Their Money.

The "Still Haven't" part seems to anticipate that not all the money that is being distributed has yet to be distributed.

Of course the headline (intentionally I suspect) suggests that they have received no money at all--which seems rather propaganda-ish. But my point here is that they are not considering the money which is not distributed to be "unaccounted for", but merely not distributed yet.

If I am to be compelled by evidence to condemn a person for how they handled a charity event, I guess I would like the benefit of having a consistent theory as to why I should condemn them. Specifically, why should I assume that rest of the money will not be distributed in the coming months based on inconsistent, and in some cases less than honest shouts of criticism?

Ah I see, I have now read the article you posted. The article is complaining that Trump gave 5 million to charity and 75,000 of it to veterans groups. You summarized it by saying:

You tell me. You take in millions but give out $75k?

But this makes it sound as if he had been running a fund raiser (like the one he ran during the debate) that was for veterans and kept most of the money. Seems like this is all based on a desire for an excuse to find fault. Just take a step back and look at the basic facts:

* Trump gives 5 million to charity and 75K of it to veterans causes.

* Trump raises 6 million for veterans causes, and has distributed 2.4 million of it so far in the two months since the event.

And from this, I am supposed to find some kind of horrible moral flaw? I am sorry, but it seems pretty silly.

Well actually, the story is another false flag intended to make Trump look bad when that is not the case at all. But you are you bad of anti-Trumpers spend all day every day ripping the guy, posting false information, and generally trying to agitate and drum up garbage on him all the time. As for your Nathan Bedford meme, you practice the tactics of the left. Anyone criticizes you then lash out at them. Anyone who spends their time running around posting pictures of NBF is a complete and total idiot. So that’s how it becomes about you.
