NYC mayor signs bill banning smokeless tobacco in ballparks

New York Mayor Bill De Blasio has signed a bill that bans the use of smokeless tobacco products at all ticketed baseball stadiums, sports arenas and recreation areas.

De Blasio signed the bill Wednesday. He said the legislation was important to the health of baseball players and the people of New York.

NOTHING about him screams NY Italian to me.

Nothing. Eating pizza with a fork. People in Italy eat it that way because it comes unsliced. But I would rip it apart and horrify then by eating it with my hands :)

Apparently, Maria de Blasio is his mother’s maiden name. And he also apparently once called himself Warren de Blasio-Wilhelm.

Wonder is there are studies out on the danger of second hand spit?

Biggest problem is how disgusting it can be if one slips on it or sits in it.....if it all goes in the cup and that cup is properly disposed of, then no real problem.

Meanwhile, New Yorkers want to know when he might be expected to devote just a bit of his attention to murder, rape, mugging, and burglary.
