Even Trump's most trusted advisors didn't expect him to fare this well.
Almost a year ago, recruited for my public relations and public policy expertise, I sat in Trump Tower being told that the goal was to get The Donald to poll in double digits and come in second in delegate count. That was it.
The Trump camp would have been satisfied to see him polling at 12% and taking second place to a candidate who might hold 50%. His candidacy was a protest candidacy.
-snip-
I don't think even Trump thought he would get this far. And I dont even know that he wanted to, which is perhaps the scariest prospect of all.
He certainly was never prepared or equipped to go all the way to the White House, but his ego has now taken over the driver's seat, and nothing else matters.
-snip-
What was once Trump's desire to rank second place to send a message to America and to increase his power as a businessman has nightmarishly morphed into a charade that is poised to do irreparable damage to this country if we do not stop this campaign in its tracks.
-snip-
You can give Trump the biggest gift possible if you are a Trump supporter: stop supporting him.
He doesn't want the White House. He just wants to be able to say that he could have run the White House. Hes achieved that already and then some. If there is any question, take it from someone who was recruited to help the candidate succeed, and initially very much wanted him to do so.

“Even if Trump won every single remaining delegate he could not get to 1237. Due to no chance of winning Montana and South Dakota, Trump is effectively eliminated at the end of May.
Trumps campaign staffers have done this math. That is why they are increasingly laying the groundwork to call for Cruz to exit the race when he is eliminated from a majority. They know Cruz is the second ballot favorite, and that Kasich is a non-factor.”

She should just go away and shut up, and I say that as someone who doesn't even support Trump.
Of all the nasty things said to me and about me this past week, being called a liar and a fraud were the most difficult. #integrity

I have realized that lack of civility isn't just confined to #Congress, it is rampant in our society.

One of my biggest regrets was seeing @megynkelly as an opportunity for candidate gain rather than the reality. I'm sorry for that.
Donald Trump needs to do 3 things:
1-Focus: stop playing defense, that’s how they are taking you off message.
2-Change language: stop using Me & I “man-up”
3-Outline what you do in your presidency for America!
Now it's 'if Trump gets the nomination I'm voting Hillary' and similar Quisling sewage. The best remedy is to scorn them hard and scorn them often. Why? Because, at core, that kind of Freeper is more concerned with posturing and virtue signalling than they are about America's future. They're ego driven, and that's their Achilles heel.
A bunch of BS that is actually an attack on Trump.
I wish they’d quit treating us as if we’re stupid. We’re not.
The chance to close our border and control immigration, jobs, and trade is the issue, folks.
If we lose Trump, then we lose all of that.
I wonder how much the RNC paid her to write this garbage. Or perhaps it was the Cruz campaign.
To be clear, the Trump campaign never employed me. I only consulted for the MAGA Super PAC. All mtgs took place before I joined the PAC.

How much does Ted Cruz’s campaign pay you people?
“That denial has a Clintonian ring to”
Yet even the liberals over at Snopes agree that Cegielski never worked for Trump.
She worked for a Super PAC that was raising money using Trump’s name without permission from Trump.
The Trump campaign denounced her PAC last December calling it a big league scam that was raising money for their own benefit.
Only the true believers at Team Hate Trump are peddling this fake story.
So you were recruited to lose?
Not sure that is a resume enhancement....
History shows Trump doesn’t compete to wind up a happy 2nd place. Not buying it. Gotta weed through the onslaught of BS now headed to dump on him even more.
Next you’ll be posting the love letters of Putzi Hanfstaengl. They’d be more relevant than this fabrication that even the Cruz hemorrhoid, Rush Limbaugh, has debunked.
Yes its up on Salon and bunch of BS. Donald Trump never sets out to be second best. Get real.
