Even Trump's most trusted advisors didn't expect him to fare this well.
Almost a year ago, recruited for my public relations and public policy expertise, I sat in Trump Tower being told that the goal was to get The Donald to poll in double digits and come in second in delegate count. That was it.
The Trump camp would have been satisfied to see him polling at 12% and taking second place to a candidate who might hold 50%. His candidacy was a protest candidacy.
-snip-
I don't think even Trump thought he would get this far. And I dont even know that he wanted to, which is perhaps the scariest prospect of all.
He certainly was never prepared or equipped to go all the way to the White House, but his ego has now taken over the driver's seat, and nothing else matters.
-snip-
What was once Trump's desire to rank second place to send a message to America and to increase his power as a businessman has nightmarishly morphed into a charade that is poised to do irreparable damage to this country if we do not stop this campaign in its tracks.
-snip-
You can give Trump the biggest gift possible if you are a Trump supporter: stop supporting him.
He doesn't want the White House. He just wants to be able to say that he could have run the White House. Hes achieved that already and then some. If there is any question, take it from someone who was recruited to help the candidate succeed, and initially very much wanted him to do so.

isn’t this copied from a salon article?
Why does it feel as if Jeff Roe and his psyops team is behind this drivel?
Or vice versa. Who knows?
Free Republic's your one stop shop for lib agitprop, now.
“Hope Hicks, a spokesperson for the Trump campaign, told Yahoo News that Cegielski was never employed by Donald Trump’s presidential campaign:
‘Evidently she worked for a Super PAC which Mr. Trump disavowed and requested the closure of via the FEC.’
The “Make America Great Again” super PAC went dark as of October 2015 amid ongoing scrutiny of where the money was coming from and going to, and whether the committee had direct ties to the Trump campaign.”
YEP. WORD FOR WORD!!!

Nope: You can give America the biggest gift possible if you are a Trump supporter: stop supporting him .
Isn’t this the woman who started a PAC and then was told by Trump to cease and desist? She says she sat in the Trump Tower and was recruited - by whom? The Donald? Or somem people who wanted to make some money on the side from DJT running?
And now the MSM/Uniparty are calling her a top advisor who has defected? What a pack of $hit.
Why bother posting anti-Trump hate propaganda the day after your guy’s big “turning point”? Trump is done for now, isn’t he?
Or maybe you’re thinking ahead to when it becomes impossible for Cruz to win 1237, later this month.
Butthurt hurts, don’t it?
Her Twitter page is just sad. Endless crazy lookit me ranting, about Trump. Early onset menopause is a curse we don't talk nearly enough about on this forum.
Her conscience seemed to get the better of her just as they were being shut down...
This title is a lie. The woman who wrote this screed was never associated with Trump or his campaign. She was with a Super Pac that Trump publicly disavowed any association with and he called on them to stop their operations as he did not want or need their help. That stopped the gravy train for the Pac fund raisers who were looking to get rich off of what they could skim off the top of any money raised for the Pac.
