Maybe off topic, but what is the purpose of a political party?

Is the purpose of the Republican party to create a cushy spot for Reince Preibus and his boys??? Is it to create a Democrat/liberal Lite opposition in Washington, DC, to the Democrats??

Is their purpose to gain power and win elections to affect the direction of this country, in a conservative direction?

I called it a month ago and got zotted for it, but it’s true - a vote for Cruz is a vote for Hillary. If Cruz knocked off his crypto-globalist campaign and threw in with Trump, Priapus would back down. As it is, the little liar is enabling Hillary to walk into walls and fall down and still stay a candidate.

I lived in Wisconsin during the Reince Priebus reign of terror when he was the State GOP Chairman. I’ll bet not a lot of people know about his former life. Ask Former Congressman Mark Neumann, or any of the other Gubernatorial candidates, what happened when they dared to run against “The Chosen One”, Scott Walker, for Governor in 2010. Ask Michael Steele what happened when Reince Priebus decided he wanted Steele’s RNC Chairmanship. You can also ask Mark Willis the same thing, from 2013.

Rinse out Reince in Cleveland. Reince has found himself as the reluctant funeral director of a once great party. Can you smell the rotting hulk of a dead elephant? It died under the failed leadership of RINOs, wannabe Democrats, egotists, those fearful of the media, others that played too much footsy with political correctness, and those who choked on self-importance.

We can thank Boehner, McConnell, Graham, McCain, Romney, Rove, Ryan, the squishy Bushes, and an entire host of promise-breakers in Congress.

Whether Trump is the nominee or not, we will have witnessed the death of the GOP from within. Some in the party engineered winning elections in he past, but all of them failed to govern and constantly allow the Democrats to continue acting (successfully) like they are in charge.

Trump is a symptom, not a disease to be eradicated. Trump broadened the tent - a desperate but failed effort by the GOPe, but the GOPe hate him for that.
