(not sure when this was recorded)
Enjoy!
I’d love to see him before one of us passes away.
“I’ll never forget the story about you standing on the White House lawn, throwing rocks at the President’s window yelling, “Dick! Dick!”
“Don’t beg!”
I thought he had died, but he’s hanging in there. I saw him as a kid decades ago. My mom realized we (my siblings and I) were the only kids at the show...we soon realized why. He takes no hostages, and nothing was beyond him. He’s now a bit older and more thankful to his world, especially his mother.
An AMAZING guy!
When a former star’s name appears in the headlines out of nowhere, that’s usually what I have come to expect. Patty Duke passing at 69 really surprised me. One always presumes that wealthy people have the best healthcare. Or it could be that she was stubborn, and ignored her symptoms. Don Rickles will be insulting people from the grave. He is that indestructible.
Rickles is one of the greats and does not hold back.
Celebrities often lead nonstop lifestyles, which can shorten lifespans regardless of any other advantages.
Mr Rickles is still alive
Ate you sure he isn’t just one of the undying?
Listen to Rickles “Hello Dummy” Vegas 1968.
Funny beyond words..
Mr. Warmth. One my favorites
Thank you so much for that. Oh he was such a great one! His roast of Jerry Lewis splits my gut everytime!
Don is still alive and kickin’ just like Jerry. Such incredible talents of that era.
Don hails from Queens just like Donald Trump and part of my family. One can never take out the Queens from somebody that grew up there.
“Hello Dummy” = brilliance!
In a related note, Bob Newhart was a hilarious stand up comedian well before his two award-winning sitcoms. His opening for his first sitcom (picking up the phone and saying, “Hello?”, was a nod to his signature shtick of one-sided telephone conversations. A comedic device Shelley Berman also used to hilarious effect.
Back in the days when comedians actually had talent and were funny. Today it is smash mouth dykeville.
