(CNN) — Thirteen current or former principals with the Detroit Public Schools were charged with bribery Tuesday in an alleged kickback scheme, which couldn't have come at a worse time for the troubled school district.

There was a video of Ellen Degeneres donating big time to one of the schools, and that principle (one of the perbs) was black.

Amazingly, DPS gets about the same amount per pupil as my son’s private school tuition. Where 27% of the school’s juniors are National Merit Semifinalists.
Just think of what DPS could do if the administration hired competent teachers and didn’t demand kickbacks at every turn.
Most of the monies spent per pupil in DPS and other urban systems are used to pay the outrageous pensions that the former teachers draw.
Has nothing to do with education.

Happens on most every news site these days, mainly because most of the comments are something along the lines of, "You idiots suck!"
I went to the CNN linked. Right after the report was a report about the deplorable conditions in Detroit schools. Democrats at their finest.
