I have an iPhone 6 and love it.
Apple makes great products. Yes they are expensive up front, but that’s it.
PCs on the other hand cost you close to the same over time once you factor in all the time and money you have to spend cleaning your PC.
I never have to do that with Apple ever.
If Apple was so great, why after all of these years are they not able to take more than 20% market share?
Why would I want a product from a company of exclusivity? They have always been exclusive with apps and hardware... special plugs, can’t replace battery, can’t add storage.... a joke.
They survive by raising sheep.
“Cleaning your PC...” Huh? I get out the dust-off and I’m done. What do you have to do to yours?
“PCs on the other hand cost you close to the same over time once you factor in all the time and money you have to spend cleaning your PC.”
Money? Time?
Ignorance is the only reason you devote either to cleaning a PC.
Cleaning your PC? What, with a rag?
Love, Hilly
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is $695
The Apple iPhone 6S Plus is $749
On computers, the total cost of ownership, you are absolutely correct.
What’s the un-subsidised price of the iPhone 6 and the Samsung S7? About the same... The biggest difference is - the Samsung will require a bunch of discounts within a couple weeks to keep them moving... iPhones continue to sell well for months...
If you can build your own PC, you know exactly the software and hardware you have. There’s no BS bloatware programs to take up RAM and HDD space.
I never had to clean my PC, ever, either. Because I don’t install junk on my PC.
You got essentially the same protection on any modern Windows OS that you do on OS-X. The junk can’t install unless you give it permission. The difference is, most of the malware is wrtten for PCs, not Macs. But that is changing now that Mac market share is increasing, and if you blindly click “ok” you’ll be “cleaning” your Mac too - Or worse; the big trend in malware these days is to encrypt the user’s important files and then make him pay ransom to get them back. This Happened to one of my friend’s dad just the other day - on his Mac.
