I think that was the Imperial War Museum on Lambeth Rd.

At the air musuem in Duxford, a mechanic showed me the Beaufighter he was restoring. It came out the desert in Australia. The duraluminum skin was in good condition, but the rivets would disappear in a puff of dust when hit by a punch. They planned to restore the aircraft into flying condition and they were looking at years of work. I got climb in. It was weird standing the cockpit area, with giant Hercules engines on each side. He was a wonderful little gent.

The worst of the PC was in the Royal Armouries at Leeds. They had a skit about somebody who brought firearms to Japan during the Warring States period and felt so bad about it that he committed seppuku. I nailed him on this afterwords - the Japs were doing just fine slaughtering each other without guns... But it was still very sad. My host at a B&B (who was dodging his taxes...) also made a disparaging comment bout me being part of “The Gun Culture.” Told him “I wish.”
