No possible way. Trump and his supporters smashed everyone to get where they are. Let them win by themselves.
I think your assumption that Trump isn’t going to get to 1237 is flawed. He’s actually going to get there pretty easily. So nice try with yet another vanity post to push an agenda, but this brokered convention bs is exactly that.
Ronald Reagan was coerced into accepting George H.W. Bush as VP. Bush repaid him by trying to have Reagan murdered less than a year later.
Trump would be ill-advised to have a Bush agent as his VP.
I have always thought that after the long mudball fights were over, Trump and Cruz would come together in some manner. Either as an electoral ticket, or in a cooperative effort to settle the nomination process with ‘an insurgent’ as the winner. Some of Trump’s mean statements were so over the top to resemble a deliberate parody of stereotypic campaign behavior. Even Dr.Carson was able to see through the bluster, and admit Trump had something of value to offer the nation.
Absolutely! A related thread from earlier:
“Should Trump and Cruz unite with we the people against the establishment uni-party?

Assuming Donald Trump did not get the required majority of Delegates I would agree that they should try to work together in some capacity. It is still possible though that Donald might get an overall majority.
Guess you missed Jim’s earlier post.
what the advantage to Trump..........NONE!
Trump-Bernie. Get all the outsiders.
I called this four months ago!!!! They are playing the press and elite. THen they merge and one will fall in line with the other. You are looking at president and Vice president. You can see them smirking when they insult each other.
Peace, brethren.
This is for the good of the cause.
We have a unifying goal:
DEATH TO THE UNIPARTY!!!!
Keep your eyes on the prize. Suck it up. We all have to. This is our one and perhaps only chance to really stick it to the bastards. Git ‘er done!
I could live with this. Trump will probably serve for one term. This sets Cruz up for 2020. Plus we have a true conservative voice in the White House.
IF it wasnt for the fact that Donald attacked Ted on eligibility issue- puttign hte doubt into millions of people, then I woudl say yes- they shoudl unite- but now that Donald has caused the doubt- in many peoples minds, the left WILL exploit htis fear and hammer donald over it- Despite the fact that court after court may find Ted eligible- truth doesnt matter to the left- perception is the only thing htey care about- They will simply claim ther courts got it wrong
I coudl be wrong, but i think that Ted would hurt the ticket because of what donald has done to him- Theres no undoign what he did- so i dont think its a feasible option at this point- Hes also responsible for the whole lying ted mantra that you know the left are going to hit hard on- I dont see donald asking ted to be VP for these reasons
The fact that Cruz blamed Trump for the blm filth and other wastes of DNA causing violence, it seems unlikely.
I would support Trump/Cruz, altho I would prefer Kasich/Rubio which would be a far stronger ticker. I could also support any combination of these four. Or, for that matter, any decent conservative who could get enough votes to win. What’s important to be is to beat Clinton, who is a clear and present danger to this country.
This elites and establishment talk reminds me of the 60’s, when I was in college/law school. It fits right in with “don’t trust anyone over 30”. It’s silly, tin foil had stuff.
The goal is not to destroy the Republican Party (or GOPe - whatever this means), it is to destroy liberalism and the Clinton candidacy. Let’s keep our eyes on the target.
Trump don’t need no steenkin vice president! He can do it all himself/s
Early on, this might have happened. As much as Ted has lied....and keeps lying... I don’t think it will ever happen.
