You know that commercial where the guy goes, I am never getting married, then he says hell never have kids or move to the suburbs? Most of us suburban dads are embarrassed by how perfectly that imitates our lives.
I was so adamant about not having kids as a young man, I tried to get my tubes tied at the tender age of 21. Now that I have three, my only regret is waiting so long. I wish I could have had five. Youll hear a lot of parents lament that they had too few or didnt have a boy or had all boys, but youll never hear them say, I wish I hadnt had a kid. Whenever I see couples without kids, I plead with them to change their ways because, almost without exception, the ones who refuse to breed are the ones who would make the best parents. Here are the same ten excuses they always make and why theyre wrong. 1. Ew, Diapers? Gross
Do you wipe your own ass? This is the same thing, only much smaller. Youll be surprised how un-gross changing diapers is. I knew our third would be our last, and each diaper change was getting closer to the last I would ever do. I coveted each chocolate-covered nutsack like I was the White House pastry chef, and when the last diaper went into the trash, I cried like a baby.

Adoption would be easier if there were kids to adopt. Kinda hard when they are all being aborted.
There are plenty of very young children; but what there’s a big shortage of is newborn Caucasian babies available in the near vicinity (ie; in North America). Those are the gold standard of adoptions and you would not *believe* how fast they go. I speak from experience as my fiance and I looked into this already due to some special circumstances. (to nonwhite conservatives, I’m genuinely sorry if this ruffles some feathers, but I didn’t make the world, I just live in it)
I’ve been repeatedly told by adoption counselors and child advocates that trying to get people to adopt a kid over a year old is like pulling teeth with rusty pliers. The international scene is even worse due to red tape when there are literally skyscrapers’ worth of babies - especially girl babies in and around China - who are desperately in need of being rescued to a family far away from their birth nation.
I love that commercial.
It shows how though life we grow and the things we thought we didn't want become desirable over time.

Sir, please don't. Some of us don't have kids because we can't.
The wound is always close to the surface and tender. Please don't poke at it.
