Why Your Top 10 Reasons For Not Having Kids Are Stupid
thefederalist.com ^ | March 15, 2016 | Gavin McInnes

You know that commercial where the guy goes, “I am never getting married,” then he says he’ll never have kids or move to the suburbs? Most of us suburban dads are embarrassed by how perfectly that imitates our lives.

I was so adamant about not having kids as a young man, I tried to get my tubes tied at the tender age of 21. Now that I have three, my only regret is waiting so long. I wish I could have had five. You’ll hear a lot of parents lament that they had too few or didn’t have a boy or had all boys, but you’ll never hear them say, “I wish I hadn’t had a kid.” Whenever I see couples without kids, I plead with them to change their ways because, almost without exception, the ones who refuse to breed are the ones who would make the best parents. Here are the same ten excuses they always make and why they’re wrong. 1. Ew, Diapers? Gross

Do you wipe your own ass? This is the same thing, only much smaller. You’ll be surprised how un-gross changing diapers is. I knew our third would be our last, and each diaper change was getting closer to the last I would ever do. I coveted each chocolate-covered nutsack like I was the White House pastry chef, and when the last diaper went into the trash, I cried like a baby.

What fascinates me about this article is the utter obliviousness to the realities of the current day. The author still thinks we're hanging out in the 1980s or something, where the biggest concern that potential parents might have is diapers or how to find a babysitter. Off the top of my head, I could name half a dozen far bigger considerations: how about that the US is becoming a leftwing dictatorship where everybody's children are being brainwashed to be gay communists? How about impending global financial collapse, probably leading to world war? How about overwhelming third-world immigration policies that result in massive increases in threats of rape, murder and assorted mayhem? Etc etc. But this guy says, "Hey slackers - stop worrying about whether diapers are icky and have some babies!!!"

It is a given that no time is ever perfect for having children, but it is undeniable that there are some really horrible times for having children. For example, if you were a Jewish family in 1940 Germany or France or Poland. Would this idiot author say "Hey Jews! Don't worry about those dirty diapers just make some babies!!" Diapers? How about if we take care of a few life-and-death issues first, then get to the baby-making?

If there is less of us we are more easy to control. So yes go have babies. More of us are hard to control.

Time would be better spent telling islamos and GibsMeDats to stop pinching off so many parasites. As if the 3rd world needs more offspring.

“Time would be better spent telling islamos ....”

Who are outbreeding us about 5 to one? In fact the Mullahs tell their members to have lots of babies to outbreed us! They are doing it to take over us!

Being uncle and aunt are OK with us are OK.

My children (adults now) have wonderful aunts and uncles with whom they enjoy socializing. IMO, the point of having children is less about passing on genetics and more about teaching and inspiring - which you can definitely do as an uncle.

My genetics is something I wouldn’t wish on any innocent kid.

My sister on the other hand turned out pretty healthy overall and has three healthy and happy children.

And yet we have moronic charities sending food and money to these 3rd world breeding holes to keep them alive and breeding. And aid to them should include enforced birth control or stop feeding them.

I’m a happy grandpa but it’s stupid to tell someone that doesn’t want them that they’re reasons are stupid. “I don’t want kids” is plenty good enough. There are rewards and sacrifices in having children and some are more important to some than others.

I would have loved to have five.

God decided we couldn’t have one.

It is what it is.

My husband and I married young and learned when we were still quite young that we would never have children.

We mulled it over for a while, a short while and then we adopted a son. 3 years later we adopted another son and 6 years later a daughter!

No problem!

Kids are stressful and expensive but you will never know real joy without them. People who don’t have children purposefully are living in a self-imposed tragedy.

He was crude but this is how these young people view having kids, and the reason why they don’t or won’t have them.

I had two kids in my twenties, and I had professional women tell me I was too young to have one at 25. The fact that I’d been married several years and bought a house was irrelevant - I was even told that I should have dated several other men for a few years to know if the guy I was with was good.

It is no surprise they they hit their 30s and 40s never finding a good man, passing over good guys in search of perfection that doesn’t exist. I had two kids, while they bounced from relationship to relationship.

I’ve seen women in their mid to late 30s suddenly realize the biological clock is ticking and have one, wishing they had more, either deliberately doing it alone because they have no one or settling for a third choice partner because there is no one else interested in them. I know one woman who had 3 kids past 40, everyone else had one before the door closed or none at all.

The most annoying cases are when I had pictures of my kids, talked about their antics, and another woman comes to show me her “kid” pictures. Dogs in costumes, dogs on walks, animals in poses. It is a tragedy, and I was criticized for saying that’s not a child but an animal.

I remember a population control novel written in the 1960s talking about how free love would replace the maternal urge. Liberals were only a little off - pets could replace children if fashionable enough, and they don’t grow up and you can kill them and get a different one.

Breast-fed babies have stinkless poop.

I kid you not!

Diaper gold!

Something about the biochemical perfection of the digestive process which was designed (of course) for the optimal absorption of, precisely, that super nutritious, delicious milk from one's incomparable Mama.

Check it out sometime. You will be amazed what you get from sweet little sucklings.
