Am I losing my mind?

Posted on 03/15/2016 10:01:50 AM PDT by uscga77

Am I losing my mind? Donald Trump gives me the creeps at times. He offends my Christianity. His persona turns me off. He can be all other the map in terms of consistent principles. But there is something inside of me that wants him to kick the stuffing out of the powers that be. Even though I am a Cruz man I could see myself voting for the guy. Am I losing my mind?

Did Samson ever say he never made mistakes and was equal to Jesus Christ in that he never had to repent or ask for forgiveness?

"I think I’ll post a vanity. Everyone else is."

Post one for me, too, while you're at it.

I agree. About half of all Republicans stay home on election day, as you have suggested you might.

I suggest that our country would be much better off if those people had swallowed their pride and helped to make things better rather than permit a lack of perfection to dominate their thinking.

More decisions like the gay marriage ruling will plunge our nation into utter chaos. We now have bakers whose businesses are being attacked because they refuse to recognize gay marriage. This decision CAN BE REVERSED. But not without your help.

Same here. I have been adamantly opposed to Trump, for many reasons, can’t stand the man, he disgusts me. But today I voted for him. The truth is, I am sticking to DC. An entire segment of the US population was forced to live with what I consider political rape, day after day for going on eight years. They can live with Trump for four more years and see how they like it. It is good to see people standing up to these liberal freaks who have been controlling this country and forcing their disgusting agenda on us.

I will! If anyone else wants to be in on this vanity (not opus) just let me know. Throw me a line and I will include it in the vanity - even if it has nothing at all to do with the topic of my vanity, which may or may not concern the topics of motorcycle lubes or elm trees.

I voted for Trump. I will feel seriously mental if I have to vote for that lying shyster, Cruz. So we are in the same boat.

BereanBrain, I have always voted for the most conservative person available in every election since I have been of age. I just don’t know what I will do if Trump its the nominee. I haven’t made that decision.

I too, have voted conservative, every election, and donated money.

What’s broke me is that how many people who ran as “Tea Party Conservatives” became big government guys and gave Obama everything he asked for and more.

For example, Rubio ran as a Tea party conservative, and was a member of the gang of 8. Betrayed.

Ted Cruz ran as a conservative, and then came out for giving Obama Fast Track approval for the TPP. In addition, he and Rubio both originated and supported the H1-B Visa expansion to triple the number of slots. Rubio falsely claimed later at a debate H1-B Visa are not legal to displace American workers — turns out, there is no such provision in the law...ask the Disney workers who had to train their replacements.

In addition, Boehner and the gang gave Obaman an additional Trillion dollars of budget approval (more than he asked for). No fight in them, with the largest Republican margins in the house and senate.

So, how MANY more so-called conservatives should we put into office BEFORE we get a single CRUMB of policy?

It’s time.

Yes, Trump’s not perfect. I don’t like several of his stances. But what we got in the last 3 presidential and 2 congressional elections ain’t working either

You are right. It ain’t working. Thanks for outlining the issues with Cruz and Rubio too.

I just don’t see the path forward.

I share your ambivalence about Trump. He is scary.

However, the people in back of Hillary & Sanders are scarier. They remind me of something out of the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW. I feel like Trump is really mocking them, rather than the Republicans.

Therefore, although a Cruz supporter myself, I will go with Trump, if necessary.

Its just that you are maturing, and realizing that voting is a rather mindless attempt at controlling the course of a very large ship.
