It’s true. Cruz posters were demanding all the Trump people be zotted a month or two ago. Now that Trump supporters present more than 80 percent of the forum, they ain’t so bold now! Ho ho ho ho!

Too much college, not enough high school.

School punk thinks taking courses makes him an authority.

Cruz supporters seem to be mostly Dominionists and Mormonist which can explain that. Trup rallies are free flowing. I have Glenn Beck’s Blaze TV on my FiOS service and the the concerts (or whatever it is that Glenn Beck is doing) where he goes over his ideology seems like some weird mutation of political church.

Like it’s a bad thing. The “pursuit of happiness” is not defined by the pursuit of every passion under the sun. It’s called “being responsible and growing up.” Trump and his band of merry yo-yo’s seem to have a slight problem with that.

Many Cruz supporters think there are limits to free speech and private property.

It’s like Rand Paul doing a 180 on his Section of the Civil Rights Act to pander.

rgue that Trump’s followers aren’t particularly authoritarian but populist in inclination.

authoritarian/populist two sides of one coin. and a win for the left as they can be that too.

Weren’t the Cruz supporters on this site the ones who had a big cry about the existence of Trump supporters, and ran off to form their own website where Trump supporters are immediately banned?

Cruz people almost all feel that they have the moral high ground. The only problem is that the more I watch Cruz the more I am convinced that he is an Elmer Gantry style flim flam man. There is no moral high ground when you are being duped.

This is no surprise. Most Cruz supporters view themselves as strict constitutionalists and as such, their is very little room “in their view” for any deviation for what they believe to be correct. Exhibit A is Levin, who is of such a narrow mind that he doesn’t realize that 90% of the country is not able to engage in a constructive political dialogue abut the constitution. Thus you have him calling everyone a jerk, moron, idiot, buffoon and whatever else, while savaging Donald Trump.

The other half of Cruz supporters are the religious zealots who not only think that the way they live their lives is superior to anyone else, but that their hero Teddy is on a mission from God to smite the unjust and bring peace to America. So you have for the most part, two sets of individuals completely rigid and inflexible in their thinking, thus Ted’s people being more authoritarian than Trump voters.

Authoritarianism is the dangerous side of American conservatives when they are not thinking clearly (in a state of fear or anger) and paying attention. With liberals, authoritarianism is the only side.

What a load of crap.

Trump has the Anger Vote. It is solid and is pretty big. The only way he can keep them is to keep them angry.

Authoritarians may care about that sort of consistency and attention to established etiquette but populists couldn't give a rat's ass.

Love that line!
