Are GOP delegates patriots above all else?
Would the delegates' own opinions be respected enough for unity?
If everyone falls short of the 'magic' 1236 [or whatever it is], is it possible that Cruz can actually prevent a brokered convention?
Will most Trump supporters understand if Trump is defeated via a convention fight?
How much time does Trump have to enter ballots as an independent if a convention fight is a certainty? Under such circumstances, should he consider doing so?
How much leverage will the Establishment have on Trump if he's forced to make a deal with them at the convention? How much would that water down his agenda?
[Rush mentioned that the Establishment forced Bush on Reagan via a convention threat.]
If Trump runs as an independent, how many GOP party faithful will remain with the GOP? Up against the frontrunner, would the GOP become a third party?
Ping.
Ping.
I thought you were talking about a riot... when the fascist Bowel Movements Splatter, Special Stalinist Snowflakes and RINO Establishment hacks show up at the convention.
No. They will third party or stay home.
I’m a cruzer and if a bargained convention does not include the top 2, now being Trump/Cruz, then count me out the party is dead to me
No. They will third party or stay home.
In an ironic twist of fate, Trump supporters, miffed at their hero's failure to be nominated at the Republican Convention stayed home or voted third party, made possible the second Clinton Presidency.
When interviewed about the results of their actions, most replied that they were waiting for the next General Election (not likely to be held for eight years).
When asked how they voted in the two previous election which resulted in a two term Democratic Presidency which they all believed a disaster for the country, they all replied that they stay home because they didn't like the Republican candidate.
Will there be an actual riot? I like to doubt it. But a guilty conscience can lead to interesting preparations ....

Fully 116 members of the GOPs national security community, many of them veterans of Bush administrations, have signed an open letter threatening that, if Trump is nominated, they will all desert, and some will defect to Hillary Clinton!

Those riot outfits....came out of this $50 million grant from the federal gov’t that they HAD to spend. It wouldn’t surprise me if they a hundred new squad cars with the money, and some armored vehicle. They have until June to spend all that grant money....so it’d curious to get a complete listing of what they bought and how useless it’ll be.
Can Cruz prevent a brokered convention? He’s opposed, but what power does he have?
I hope the riot gear will not be needed. Imagine it comforts many to know it is there.
If the ‘magic’ number becomes unreachable, should Trump assume that a convention fight would be rigged and preempt it as an independent candidate?
I imagine Trump could make a deal for any of the 3 for their delegates to carry him over 1237, assuming none of his delegates defect to the GOPe
If there is a brokered convention and they wind up choosing mittens or yeb, then yeah im staying home.
If you stay home because you so dislike Mittens, do not complain later about a Hillary Presidency or anything to do with the state of the country.
Establishment or not, a Mittens Presidency is far better than what would result from Hillary in the WH.
That is how we got 0bama twice by the hubris of too many people wanting the perfect guy (in their opinion) and not caring what happens to the country or who sits on the Supreme Court just as long as they get their way - like spoiled children.
The delegates are whoever gets elected delegate. Run for delegate yourself and get like minded people to do the same.
If everyone falls short of the 'magic' 1236 [or whatever it is], is it possible that Cruz can actually prevent a brokered convention?
Who are these brokers of whom you speak?
Will most Trump supporters understand if Trump is defeated via a convention fight?
If Cruz emerges as the nominee, he will certainly try to make some deal with Trump, and vice versa.
How much time does Trump have to enter ballots as an independent if a convention fight is a certainty? Under such circumstances, should he consider doing so?
A number of states have "sore loser" laws to prevent this. Some do not.
How much leverage will the Establishment have on Trump if he's forced to make a deal with them at the convention? How much would that water down his agenda? [Rush mentioned that the Establishment forced Bush on Reagan via a convention threat.]
Nonsense. Reagan tried to make a VP deal with Gerald Ford but he wanted too much power so he offered it to George HW Bush instead.
If Trump runs as an independent, how many GOP party faithful will remain with the GOP? Up against the frontrunner, would the GOP become a third party?
Such a candidacy could guarantee the election of Hillary Clinton, a la H. Ross Perot, so we should, of course, avoid it.
And what would Trump need to fork over for those delegates? The vice presidency? Secretary of Commerce? State Department?
If Trump ends up with the most popular support and loses the convention at the same time, is is reasonable to assume that his supporters would be ‘good sports’ and maintain their energy level?
Tell me how a Romney presidency differ from SWMNBN or Sanders.
THEY AGREE ON MOST ISSUES; SO WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
