Where we are beating him is when voters’ get more engaged and they get more informed. When they inform themselves, they realize his record. He’s what they’re angry at. He is the corruption, and if you want someone to stand up to Washington, the only one who has been doing so in this race is me.”
Did he call the Trump supporters stupid? Maybe not directly, but he certainly is very condescending! I resent Cruz assuming that since I support Trump, I have low information and I am not engaged...that if I “inform myself,” I will support him.
I could not disagree with Cruz more on this...Trump was the first candidate to sound the clarion call on immigration, the borders, terrorism and common core. I noticed these topics were the mainstay of the debate tonight. Had Trump not run, we would have had a completely different set of issues. Whether he wins or not, I am grateful that he had the guts to bring up these topics!
