GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice.

“he said uninformed. He is right.”
So the FReepers who are pro-Trump, equally as politically wonkish as you are, are “uninformed”? All of us pretty much eat, sleep, and breath politics; we simply arrive at different conclusions depending on what’s important to us.
Some of us want an American, not foreign, President. Some of us want a President who understands how to select (Beck?) and manage the right people. Some of us want a President who had not “made a living” at the taxpayers’ expense. Some of us want a President in a mainstream religion.
Still with that same dumb argument. Cruz at least has tried to get things done that we need done, as much as a lone conservative can with a Rino congress and a socialist president. And while he doing that Trump was using illegals on his projects, donating to Planned Parenthood, advocating for big government solutions to health care, praising and supporting the worst of the worst in congress, i.e., Pelosi, Reid, McConnell, playing crony politics for personal gain, etc.
A better question is “why was Trump trying so hard to stop Cruz from doing these things?” Everyone acts like Trump was born on the day he said “Let’s build a wall”, no one wants to look at what he was doing before that.
Honestly, I will vote Trump is he is the nominee, but I will not like it that, again, we have missed a chance to get back on the path to a constitutional, rule of law, government. Instead we are doing the same thing we did with Romney. I know who Trump is and he will not be a good president. He will decree everything he can’t get passed in congress, ala Obama. He will not live up to all the hype around him but will revert back to home s true nature, moderate/liberal Republican, and you will be crying that no one is giving him a chance.
Although I posted this to you it is really for everyone on here who has used this same stupid boilerplate argument. You people scare me to death with your lack of vision.
Ted Cruz is nothing but an ego-driven, love self, evil, low life, person!!! The reason that Donald Trump attracts so many Americans of all political stripes to his side & rallies is because these ordinary, hard working people, see how folks like power hungry Ted Cruz, the GOP & Democrat Party Establishments look down on them and abuse them both politically and economically. You see a similar reaction from Black Americans, who now feel in decent numbers that POTUS, Barack Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton & the entire Democrat Party have used and abused them to little benefit to themselves.
You will see how many Bernie Sanders young folks abandon Hillary Clinton and jump over to vote for Donald Trump...when Hillary Clinton gets the Democrat nomination for POTUS!! These Trump & Sanders folks are not ill informed or dumb.....they get it!!! Shame on Ted Cruz & his GOP Establishment low life for bad mouthing the American people that make America run everyday!!! Support & vote for DONALD J. TRUMP!!!
“You think Trump has worked in a blue collar job”
You’re not paying attention, Honey. Trump cleaned bathrooms in his father’s rentals when he was a kid. He learned every aspect of construction, starting at the bottom of the ladder, working side-by-side with the laborers.
How many bathrooms do you suppose Cruz has cleaned?
“I know who Trump is and he will not be a good president.”
Oh, to be you. In Seminary I learned that only God is omnicscient. But now there’s you.
“Donald Jr said that he had to drive a D10 cat on a construction site.”
He still does, actually. And when the boys were young, in the summers Trump sent them to Ivana’s family behind the Iron Curtain to work with their grandfather. He was a blue-collar electrician or plumber.
Cruz is SENATOR Cruz. Establishment.
The Low ‘Informed voter’ simply doesn’t know the truth. The ‘Trump Informed’ voter “knows” things that aren’t so. For you to call Cruz a liar, you’re obviously among the latter.
If nothing else it was heartfelt.
“Some of the dumbest people I’ve met have PHD’s. Couldn’t even balance a checkbook.”
It doesn’t mean they’re dumb it means they’re intelligence has a different focus. My husband is a PhD/Physicist. I’m the one who handles the technology in the home because he’s not good at it. OTOTH, I doubt if I’d be good at what he does.
So making a blanket statement that if someone can’t balance a checkbook he’s “dumb” is just ... well ... DUMB!
That came across ;)
It didn't seem to matter the question the answer was some variation of "Donald Trump is a nasty ol meanie."
Even my husband noticed it.
It was rather off putting.
It is one thing to take a swipe or two at your opponents but this verged on "he lives in my head rent free" territory.
Donations can be optional sometimes for businesspeople, depending upon their business; in the case of real estate developers in RAT snakepits, pretty mandatory...and in New York City, a line item.
Ask one of those businesspeople; they'll tell you.
Wealth will not insulate one from bad character, so even billionaires can be bought.
. However, someone with FU money cannot be bullied, and I think that worries them the most.
“theyre intelligence” = “their intelligence”
It’s not difficult. When a man lies, he’s a liar.
I hear that explanation over and over. Why all the non-NYC stuff then?
Most recently, give me a business case for supporting McConnell, the face of the GOPe, in his last primary?
And if it was in Trump’s best interest business wise to support the likes of McConnell then, how will those same business interests motivate his actions as President?
Like Trump said, He could shoot someone on live TV and you would still believe in him.” Far be it from me to convince you otherwise.
You have a very poor definition and judgement of 'establishment'.
Cruz has been fighting for us ever since he got there, and you want to kick him to the curb?
Another FReeper made an eloquent post about reaching that time in life when you're done building your business and youre looking for what's next. For Trump that is righting some of the wrongs he says bug him. When you get to age 70 mortality looms, and its natural to think in terms of legacy. One's awareness changes from the next week or year to the next 100. He's got children and grandchildren who will live in that world. This is how he's decided to spend what's probably the majority of his remaining years. He's not now motivated by $$$. That has got to be tremendously liberating.
Donations show good will. Given the feckless GOPee I believe it'd smart to hedge one bets. Schumer asks for a donation, sure, no problem. Hey, do you mind if a friend calls? No problem.
McConnell is the incoming Senate Majority Leader. You donate, because if you have one building the issues are local. When you have an empire spread across the country, you make sure you have access.
If/when he returns to private life, would he make those donations? Probably not.
FReepers are political junkies. We've developed our political philosophy. Trump has been too busy.
