Ted Cruz Says Donald Trump's Voters Have "relatively low information" And Are "not that engaged"
The Brody File ^ | 3/10/2016 | David Brody

Posted on 03/10/2016 5:22:05 AM PST by joesbucks

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that the reason Donald Trump is performing well in the GOP race for president is because his voters are uninformed and not engaged in the process. “Donald does well with voters who have relatively low information, who are not that engaged and who are angry and they see him as an angry voice.

How does Ted remotely think he can win the presidency, assuming he should miraculously pull out the nomination, if he’s just called 30-40% of his base low informed, or disengaged? Granted its not as bad as stupid, like others in the party have labeled Trump supporters, but it still isn’t a smart move.

Excellent point! Raphael insults Trump voters, and yet expects us to rally around him if he steals the nomination. Ain’t gonna happen..

(If Trump has the nomination stolen from him, I will be playing golf instead of voting on election day).

What good does he believe will come of such a dense comment? I used to believe his most ardent fans here would embarrass him, now I see they are following his lead!

Is Levin’s arrogance rubbing off on him? Do they honestly believe the can win without the average citizen who btw, may NOT be as engaged in all the layers of this election?

I’m honestly stunned he would say something so offensive, really, it’s offensive.

Then again has he denounced that crazy a** loon Beck yet??
NO?? WTH NOT???

Carry on GOPe, take your new little toy Teddy and try and cram it through, this is not going to play out the way they think.

yea Conservative actually are. Like the Blacks on the Dem plantation, Conservatives insisted year after year to vote for whom ever the GOP plantation masters put out in front of them.

Not doing it again. I’m off the GOPE plantation and will stay off the plantation.

He is ANYTHING but GOPe and an insider... Trump on the other hand, gives money left and right to the GOPe AND the liberal Democrats. He is a million (or is it millions) times more of an establishment guy than Cruz ever has, or ever will be.

It's unbelievable you can think this considering who is advising Cruz, who is giving him money and who is working for his campaign.

Trump is NOT part of the party system. Cruz IS part of the party system.

Cruz is a PROFESSIONAL politician and a lawyer. Trump is a professional businessman and NOT a lawyer.

Cruz is there to keep gullible conservatives in the party. They throw him a bone once in a while to keep us voting for Republicans but ultimately he is ineffective and that's why the GOP keeps him there. If they wanted him gone, he would be gone. The very fact he's still there despite his rhetoric proves that first and foremost he's an asset to the party in bringing in big donor money and conservative voters. Meanwhile the country can continue it's rush to the left.

Papers?  Immigration papers?  Cruz don't need no sinkin' papers.  He's a Canadian through and through — as Canuck as Celine Dion and Wayne Gretsky.  Eh?

And Ted's a real tough guy, don't ja know.  Here he is with that tough chick, Dana Loesch, protégé of the infamous Glenn Beck.

Secret note to Ted from The Donald:

Hey Ted, thought you'd like to know.  Tough guys don't say "low information" when they really mean "stupid"... See you tonite at the debate.

Amazing what is heard here.

Cruz just said that as voters who are not engaged become more engaged and hear his message they will support him.

I dont think this is so bad.

I guess I’m just too dumb to see Ted has aligned himself with the Bushes and the very “Washington Cartel” he was running against. When he says “Only I can beat Trump” means Be comforted Elites, you will be taken care of.

Amazing to me that parsing his words brings different results to different listeners.

He sounds like a very typical GOPe pol to me, taking it for granted that IF I were to listen closer, understand more, really dig in to what he’s saying, that suddenly I’ll see the light and vote for him. Arrogant imho

It isn’t the Congress critters you named that would have demands on anyone in fact they would be more indebted. It is the moneyed people who will have their demands on Cruz and that is not good for We the People.

I just figured out what is going on with Trump. Remember the movie Trading Spaces where two rich guys made a $1 bet on how people will behave based on circumstances?

I think Trump made a bet with a fellow billionaire that he could win the GOP nomination while talking about his penis size, making his supporters take a loyalty pledge that makes them look like Nazis, supporting planned parenthood, giving money to the most likely democrat nominee, and calling his supporters uneducated. Looks like Trump is going to win that bet too!

I agree. Why would Trump call his voters uneducated? That was just stupid.

How about Jeb Bush supporters?

It just came on the news at the top of the hour, not the local news but the national, on KSFO AM, that Cruz is seeking the endorsement of Jeb Bush. So are Jeb supporters, including Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, and the amnesty donor class that goes along with this endorsement uninformed and not engaged?

Jeb Bush isn’t meeting with Trump today. He is meeting with Cruz today. So Jeb Bush is engaged, unlike those stupid Trump supporters or at least called stupid by Cruz. But Cruz knows he is smart, smart enough to meet with Jeb Bush today, and all his supporters are the genius elite - like Jeb, I suppose. It sure would be a smart thing to sit down with Jeb and discuss an endorsement. Smart idea. It is only discussing. After all, Jeb may endorse Rubio. Or Kasich. Or Cruz.
