Someone should cap this oxygen-wasting sphincter, he's depleting the ozone layer with his gaseous expulsions. I hope The Tea Party eventually goes hard-core militant and starts hunting these

. . . served as domestic policy adviser to Ronald Reagan and a Treasury Department official under George H.W.Bush. He also worked on Capitol Hill for the late Rep. Jack Kemp. More proof that DC is long overdue for a major fumigation. This guy worships big government and thinks there should be no checks and balances.
Somehow, he pretended to be a moderate just long enough to start his career path in DC.

I don’t know, but there were similar changes for the worse at the Club for Growth and later the National Review.

Boehner, McConnell, and Ryan are the reason why the GOP needs to be destroyed. Many more than just those three, plus party "leaders" like Rinsed Prius.

The “centrist” Bushes gave us Clinton and Obama.
Time to try something different, I’d say. Not sure Trump is the answer, but would not take advice from this guy or loser Romney either.

We have nothing more in common with these people because they have destroyed the society and culture with identity group politics and political correctness. They are not Americans in any meaningful way. Obama is the prime example.
They hate our guts and we hate theirs.

Wondered the same about pretending. He wrote the following.
“He is the author of the New York Times best-seller Impostor: How George W. Bush Bankrupted America and Betrayed the Reagan Legacy (Doubleday, 2006) and The New American Economy: The Failure of Reaganomics and a New Way Forward (Palgrave Macmillan, 2009). His latest book, The Benefit and the Burden (Simon & Schuster, 2012), is a history and review of issues related to tax reform.”

I believe that Republicans made a deal with the devil in 2009 when they embraced the Tea PartyI'm old enough to remember Mitch McConnell going to war with the Tea Party: "We will crush them everywhere."
Well, the crushing is going the other way this time.
To: smokingfrog
I think you are confusing this turd bird, a minor bureaucrat, with
Roscoe Bartlett, a decent former congressman from Maryland who was gerrymandered out of his seat in 2012.
