Live Stream VIDEO
TOPICS: Astronomy
KEYWORDS: eclipse; solareclipse; totaleclipse
The total solar eclipse will last from 8:38 PM to 8:42 PM EST tonight. However, you can start watching from 8 PM. Hopefully there will be few clouds. It should be fun!
BTW, according to scientists, we might be the ONLY planet in this entire galaxy in which the moon is both the right size and distance to EXACTLY block out its star during an eclipse.

Yeah, the IN side. Next I suppose you'll tell me there are people living on the bottom of the earth, but that's impossible because they would just fall off.

August 21, 2017 we get the total solar eclipse in my neck of the woods. Looking forward to it. August is generally hot and cloudless. I will probably be observing the darkening effect from our lake.

You would also get a total eclipse if the moon were closer.
Still, I get your point.

Yeah, I can see a total eclipse every night at 8 PM, when the earth eclipses my view of the sun :D
To: JennysCool
Heads up to everybody! NASA now has livestream video coverage from micronesia. The moon is already taking a chunk out of the sun.
