“How do you have a Samsung Galaxy S7? They aren’t shipping until March 11th.”

I pre-ordered from T-Mobile on 2/24. Arrived 3/3 via overnight UPS on 3/3.

“Looking at the spec list, about the only new things I see are they’ve stolen the patented 3DTouch from the Apple iPhone 6S (that should be interesting to see what Apple’s legal response will be), and added water resistance and dust proof. Samsung went back to having expandable memory, though. “

Samsung does not have 3DTouch. The S5 had waterproofing. The S7 is IP68 dust proof and waterproof. Samsung did the S7 unveiling by doing a box-opening underwater.

And the S7 has optical stabilization and a camera that blows away the 6S,especially in low-light conditions.

Not to mention the almost instantaneous auto-focus!

From a locked phone, I can take a photo in about 2 seconds.

What is Apple’s response to the Immersion patent complaints?

Also, in the news, is “Error 53”. If certain parts are replaced by a non-authorized repair center Apple will brick your phone!

Looks like my post and Post #15 sum it up pretty well.Your hero (and, probably, your *employer*)...Little Timmy Cook...is siding with filthy psychopaths...jihadis...drug runners...child molesters, etc.Presumably Timmy doesn't actively engage in jihad (though he obviously *supports* it) one could reasonably wonder if he engages in child molestation.

Just sayin....

So can my iPhone 6s. . .

Samsung does not have 3DTouch.

They are claiming they have it now:

"5.1 inch Display (1440 X 2560 Resolution) (Super AMOLED, Force Touch with TouchWIZ UI)"

Apparently nothing supports it much yet.

As I understand, the iPhone requires three actions to open the camera.

The S7 only requires ONE!

No, It takes just two. Tap the home button, swipe up from the Camera icon on the lock screen. Point and it's instantly focused. Ready to take photo.

The camera on the Samsung Galaxy S7, being a next generation device, appears in comparisons to be a better quality camera. We shall have to see what Apple comes up with when they release the iPhone 7.

I will have to check my wife’s 6s+ later when she is not watching. She hates for me to mess with her phone!

Right now it is:

1. Click home button
2. Swipe up
3. Click camera button.

No, you do not have to do #3. The camera is ready after #2.

Don't try to teach us who use the device how to use the device. I take photos using this technique every day. So don't tell me I don't know how it works. TWO moves.

“Don’t try to teach us who use the device how to use the device. “

Not trying to teach you anything. I just reported what I had to do on my wife’s 6s+ AND I said I would investigate further later on.

Still, two actions is TWICE one action.

So it is. But Samsung added a dedicated camera button to turn the camera on where before they required the user to double-click the on-button. . . is that an improvement or an over-complication?

No dedicated button on s7. Option to turn camera on with double-click.
