A construction worker found a blood-stained knife buried on OJ Simpsons property years ago and gave it to an off-duty cop who kept it in his home before finally turning it over to police, a report says.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the blade is a folding buck knife, which is now being tested for hair and fingerprints after being handed over to the L.A.P.D.s Robbery Homicide Division in January.
It will be tested for DNA and other biological evidence at the departments Serology Unit next week, sources told the site.

I remember they found a knife in a Chicago airplane waste collection tank, after OJ had been a passenger
No, but a constitutional prohibition on double jeopardy. He can't be tried twice for the same crime.
It was really that racist detective Mark Fuhrman..... :0)
Probably the guy who really did it—you know, the guy OJ has been searching for all these decades—buried it there.
But they, and by ‘they’ I mean those most guilty of using the tactic - Civil Rights zealots, will effectively try a person for the same crime using different charges but with equal effect. It’s called violating FEDERAL Civil Rights.
It’s happened over and over again and most always used against whites. But in OJ’s case, I guess that’s not a likely possibility.
Hard to believe there’s anyone alive who think him innocent. It was really about getting even for all the unjust acts committed against blacks going back centuries. Folks didn’t care that he was guilty. They only cared about getting even and that is why there was such elation and celebration by our AA-brethern over the verdict.
um.... it was buried in the ground for some time, what with the change of the seasons, the occasional rains, etc...dug up and given to someone else, who also had it for years..how could they tell that it had blood on it in the first place? wouldn’t it have washed or leeched away by now?
i’m reminded about the axe found in lizzie borden’s barn a few years back...
Another trick is bringing a CIVIL action instead of a CRIMINAL charge against the defendant.
The murders were in June 1994.
The murder trial ended Oct. 1995 and the civil suit ended Feb. 1997.
The house was torn down in June 1998.
The dirty cop kept the knife for nearly 18 years.

That too. But there have been Civil Rights Violation cases for Murder been brought. I remember on about some guy they tagged for Medgar Ever’s murder......got him like 25 years later when they got a sympathetic DOJ.
Somebody bought his property and his old house was demolished years ago and another one built.
If the knife was actually the one OJ used and he had thrown it in the bushes it conceivably have been buried during the construction of the new house.
Well, this will go a long way to establishing the good reputation of Bob Kardashian because everyone thought he spirited the knife away in that suit carrier.... What? He’s dead? Well, then it will go a long way establishing the reputation of his children..... Never mind.
“Even O.J. isnt stupid enough to bury his murder weapon on his own property.”
Not sure what you base this comment on. This guy is as dumb as a fence post.
Having grown up in upstate NY, I have to admit I LOL'd at that one! Besides, I'm a long-suffering Jets fan (because there is no other kind)!
Right....so he carried a bloody knife with prints and hair back to the estate and buried it.
Also that property is big (I would say an acre?) and if he pushed it in under plants.... There was a big sandbox on the property as well. Still, kind of an idiot. He should have pushed it in someone else’s property not in a direct line from Bundy either.
Well, to give OJ credit, he finally did put the real killer behind bars.
The Real killer was almost certainly a golfer because that’s where OJ spent so much time when he was desperately searching for him.
Well, yeah....in a way. But I’m sure that’s not what the hell he meant to do! :)
