That's what a woman found out at the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. Officials say she was stopped Sunday at a security checkpoint with a pair of gun-shaped stiletto heels.
TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein says the stilettos had heels in the shape of handguns and faux bullets around the sole. They were in the woman's carry-on luggage, along with bracelets lined in faux bullets.
The agency prohibits passengers from carrying "replica guns or ammunition" through airport security checkpoints.

Sigh.
Sometimes it seems the terrorists won after all.
How about some common sense? Would that be so hard?
Boy...would those be fun to wear to a Town Board Meeting.
Just a test. Notice no names or description of the woman.
It would be kinda hard to aim those things.
No, common sense is not permitted. We have zero tolerance regulations so that bureaucrats don’t have to think and apply any reasoning ability to any issues.
I wish I were joking about this.
A replica gun would be a toy gun, like one of those things w/the orange tips.
Something styled like a gun, like this should be ok, but TSA doesn’t really think.
If she had a gun-shaped pop tart, would they make her throw it out or eat it?
Is her stage name “Classy”?
Depends upon the woman wearing the heels. There might have been ample reason to stop her that have nothing to do with the shoes.
-How about some common sense? Would that be so hard?-
In second grade I popped a piece of gum into my mouth during class. The teacher said, -did you bring gum for everybody?- Of course, I had not, so I had to spit it out. This is the same attitude. They can not let the slightest infraction of the rules go because then they would be playing favorites. -You let her wear gun shaped shoes. Why am I not allowed a water pistol.- Liberals run the world and they are all second grade teachers inside. As long as the slavishly follow the rules, they can not be criticized.
I guess stilleto heels would be no-go either...
Those shoes are clearly in open violation of fashion law! Thankfully the Trustees of Sartorial Arts (TSA) were there when we needed them!
I would like to see her actually walk in them.
It’s true, they are ugly, and anybody who thinks that is “sexy” needs serious psychiatric intervention.
Oh, PLEASE—are you really as stupid as the TSA?
I would think the TSA would be concerned about her breaking her ankles with one mis-step....
