Ben Stein: Trump Is George Wallace ‘Without Being A Racist’ [VIDEO]
Daily Caller ^ | 2-29-2016 | STEVE GUEST

Actor, economist and former Richard Nixon speech writer Ben Stein says Donald Trump is the “George Wallace of our era without being a racist.”

In an interview with “CNN Newsroom With Brooke Baldwin” on Monday, Stein argued Trump “is going to be a figure to be reckoned with. I’m not even sure Hillary can beat him. He is the voice of the unspoken, unwashed voice of the people coming down from the hills and hollers and they are very, very angry.”

Referring to the large number of protesters ejected from Trump’s campaign rally in Radford, Virginia Monday, Stein said, “These demonstrators today have confirmed that Trump will win. These demonstrators — if Trump had paid each of them $1,000, they couldn’t have done for more him than what they’ve done today.”

Well, I do live in the foothills of the White Mountains. I took a shower this morning, though, and I'm not really unspoken. I have an earned doctorate, but I'm not sure what a holler is.

And you know, "angry", or even "very angry" trivializes the way I feel.

I am frosty and determined on vengeance is what I am, vengeance on the wreckers of the American Constitutional Republic that I was born into and where I've taught my children to love the Lord and their nation.

As a famous American said, I'm too old to go bushwhacking, but I'm not too old to vote, and that's exactly what I did on February 9.

oh who am I kidding. The GOPe pretty much destroyed the republican brand.

However, conservatives will be blamed for all the chaos Trump creates.

So true.

Nice to see that Stein is SUPPORTING Trump, since Wallace had a GREAT MESSAGE, once you back out his racism.

I have an earned doctorate, but I'm not sure what a holler is.

A way of pronouncing hollow, a small valley between hills.

Once again, one of the elite mocking the dialect of those of what they consider a "lower station."

See HRC..."I ain't no ways tared."

There needs to be a Godwin’s Law for racism.

It's nuts. The programming is non stop. It's no accident that the articles and posts have been full of it all day. Then the networks have gone full retard. "When the going gets tough, the weird turn pro."

George Wallace’s position on race evolved during his political career. In 1962, he advocated segregation.

Before that, he was much more liberal. In fact, he had the backing of the NAACP in the 1958 election for governor. The KKK endorsed his opponent. Wallace was more of an opportunist than a racist. He knew he had to change if he was going to be elected governor of Alabama.

He certainly did change in his later years and won over much of the black vote as you stated.

Unfortunately for Dems, Wallace was the #2 choice of union members in the mid-west back in 72, behind McGovern. Some Dem bigwigs were confused by this, but they were both perceived as anti-establishment. In McGovern’s case it was just an act, but Trump could cause trouble in the same states.
