CBS Executive Chairman, a Reliable Democrat Donor, Giddy Over Trump's Rise

It may not be good for America, but it's good for CBS."

That's how network executive chairman and reliable Democratic donor Les Moonves described Donald Trump's frontrunner status in the GOP primary, noted the Hollywood Reporter's Paul Bond today.

"Bring it on, Donald," cheered Moonves in remarks to the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference being held in San Francisco.

While Bond didn't note as such, a quick check of the FEC's donor database – see screenshot below – shows Moonves has a long track record of contributing to Democrats John Kerry and Al Gore as well as Democratic political action committees (PACs). One exception was in 2010 when he contributed to Missouri Republican Roy Blunt's Senate campaign, which he won in a landslide against Democrat Robin Carnahan.

In fairness, Moonves hasn't given to any candidate directly since 2010 and his last recorded political contribution was to his network's PAC, but all the same there's little reason to believe Moonves is not still politically liberal in his sympathies.

that’s because they just did a “hit” piece on Trump on the Evening News.

But I think the days of people believing the media are over.

The media has had their day, people have woken up to them and that is why they are frustrated, much like the establishment hacks putting out this crap

The media has had their day

Not yet.

The media always go after the Republican nominee after the RNC convention.

They do what is known as a dump.

This year they will have from June to November to provide a daily drip on whomever the nominee is, which means we will have an entire summer and fall of a non-stop crap-load dump.

Two months more than ever before.

The RNC moved it up by two months to give Jeb! the advantage. Real smart.

Network TV trustworthiness continues to decrease in the public's eyes. Political news drippings that have worked always before have begun to misfire with no experienced mechanic available to tune it up. (Repetitious lies only slow the slide in TV news' power to persuade and influence the way the puppet masters want.)

Their ratings are in the crapper and they don’t care. The press has always been bias but now it’s become open for all to see and they are suffering as a result.

They’ll either adapt or die

In other years I’d be concerned - we know the media is going to try to destroy the republican candidate even if he/she is one of them (part of the R/D Uniparty).

One of the reasons I’m for Trump is that I think he will destroy the Candy Crowleys the network throws at him instead of being destroyed. I don’t think my second choice, Cruz, comes out looking so good in these battles. Cruz may win the night but Trump keeps it going on twitter and other networks.

We’ll have to wait and see but it seems like Trump beat Megyn Kelly & Fox and I think he can do it to the others.
