They just want a Republican party without all those damn pesky voters.
It’ll be over in two weeks. Trump will run the table in the south.
because the Establishment isn’t in the lead. Make no mistake about it, if an Establishment character were in Trump’s position these articles would read a lot differently. In the middle east they say you vote once and then you never vote again. In the Republican party they vote until their guy wins. *Spit*
Cry harder, NR.
By March 16th, the NR dream boy Rubio will have had his rump kicked in his home state - assuming he even makes it that far after tomorrow’s drubbing.
National Review , the official anti - Trump at any price mouthpiece.
fools like these are going to give America a President Hillary Clinton .
WOW all the bitterness and hatred in that article.
That is correct, however Tuesday March 15 may be the end with Ohio and Florida...
Beware the Ides of March!
Charles C. W. Cooke, you'll be looking for work soon, when National Review folds.
Cruz said he would back Rubio if he (Cruz) drops out of the race.
Scamnesty Rubio ?
But it makes sense.
Cruz is owned by the establishment.
If Trump beats him in Texas (it is a toss up) it will be a sign of vulnerability as well.
Cruz will need his wifes Goldman Sachs job (they currently pay his health insurance) to fall back on as well.
His only hope to win in Texas - after having LIED to the people there about his Canadian citizenship status - is to run unopposed.
Cruz has made a deal. He will drop out and back Rubio and keep his Senate seat and wifes job.
Hes been completely co-opted by the Uniparty.
What you are missing is: THEY WANT HILARY CLINTON OVER TRUMP.
Hillary is for open borders, cheap labor, Obamacare controlled and written by the insurance companies, status quo.
The GOPe agrees w with Hillary on 99% of the issues.
TRUMP is the only threat.
The National Review should just push to scrap the election process and let the RNC pick the candidate.
Cry harder, NR.
Fine, you're guilty of pre-rationalization.
National Review. Aren’t they that failing publication Trump said was going out of business?
I will also say this. I have NO IDEA if Trump will win tomorrow and if he does by how much and where. I just won’t know until the vote is finished and I won’t count the chickens before they hatch. However, IF Trump wins big tomorrow and if he wins in Florida then I don’t see where everyone else will win. Cruz is not going to be doing well in New York, New Jersey, Maine, Michigan and the like. I just don’t see that as the case. Trump will most likely be strongest in those areas. So IF Trump wins big tomorrow then Cruz is out. Does Rubio pick up those areas? I’m not sure but I suspect Kasich would be stronger there at which point I would suggest that if it should go 1v1 it should be Trump V Kasich. Trump doesn’t have to win in all those areas, he just needs to keep amassing delegates. So while it wouldn’t be over it certainly doesn’t look good if you’re establishment if Trump cleans up tomorrow
The GOPe is still licking its wounds from the loss of Jeb! from the campaign. I’m sure many thought that was a sure thing with Jeb!; the big dog running against about a dozen others to help split up the vote. It was a perfect setup. They had it in the bag. The proles would get to vote; not that it would matter. They would get their candidate. Then Trump happened.
