Help me understand: Why do YOU support Donald Trump?
Self

Posted on 02/27/2016 10:57:00 AM PST by sampai

As far as I can tell, Donald Trump is an unprincipled vulgarian. He would make a big show of deporting illegal aliens, only to "let the good ones back in." He supports single-payer healthcare. Before he flipped on the issue, he wanted to admit tens of thousands of Syrian "refugees." He has very un-American strongman tendencies.

Yet he's leading in the Republican primaries. So please help me understand: How would President Trump be better than, say, President Cruz?

*********

Right when the refugee flood broke in one interview he said we should admit some but never thousands, never tens of thousands as you wrongly claim. Once he observed the demographics being mostly strong young men with cell phones he corrected himself and for that he should be given credit.

Most conservatives, including most right here in FR, were enthusiastically supporting Roberts as well.

I voted for CRUZ in the recent primary here. - That said; I
will walk barefoot over rough gravel to get to the polls to
vote for TRUMP - IF he is the nominee. I will not vote for
any more GOPe nor anyone they push on me.

CRUZ needs to smarten up his wardrobe a little bit and wash
most of the hair oil out of his hair & brush it out more
casual. He’s okay; but also needs to EX-LAX (relax).

Of course, I’ve also recommended Ricola cough drops to
Hillary; and I wouldn’t spit on her if she was on fire.
She won’t listen to me, of course, but Ricolas do work!

The problem I have with Trump's or anyones response to planned parenthood that says they do “some good things” is that I cannot separate the “good things” from the evil things.

Abortion is, in and of itself, completely evil, killing the most innocent. But then selling their parts for profit?

You may be able to overlook this, I cannot.

“Trump just hasn’t earned my vote. Again, that I won’t vote for him is not my fault”

Hillary called. She wants your address so she can send you roses and a candy gram to thank you

Not at all. Congrats to Mr.Cruz. By hook or by crook he squeaked it out after camping there for year. By all means celebrate it. Instead it sounds like the fact Ted has won nothing since is sticking in your craw. Guess the festivities were short lived.

Most conservatives, including most right here in FR, were enthusiastically supporting Roberts as well.

Most conservatives (unlike Cruz) were not Bush insiders.

I’m sure I left out some, but these are some Huge reasons to support Trump.

Yours is a good list for the Trump haters to whine about. Here are a few more from me:

1. He's the first candidate since Reagan that knows how to take on the media and win. He knows how to form a narrative.

2. He's the only candidate that is strong enough to take the heat of an election against the Alinskyite left, meaning the dems AND the media.

3. He's the only candidate that will not cower in fear from PC questions, and who doesn't fear how the media will portray him. It's one of several reasons I switched from supporting Cruz last month. 4. The next president will require that kind of strength, with the capacity to handle the daily heat, and win anyway. With the things that have to be done, continuuing to beat back the far left that runs this country and will still run much of it when he wins, will be crucial.

There is more but that's my 2 cents. Hope the GOPE intern reading my post goes and stuffs his head where the sun don't shine./....

:-)

If accepts the premise of your position one must conclude there are a lot of vulgarians out there... Or that your premise is nonsense.

Why would someone in good faith try to address a proposition expressed in bad faith?

Trump is outspoken about ending illegal immigration and reforming US Trade Policy. Cruz has his constitution, but that will simply end up being his “white paper” if those two issues are not remedied. Rubio is bought and paid for by the wrong side of these two issues. Electing Senators as Presidents is a mistake, it was before Obama and it still is after Obama.

The interesting observation is that the ground has literally shifted away from the “social conservative/strict constitutionalist” crowd. While everyone followed the GOP’s shiny object “family values” for the past 25 years, the GOP sold this country out to the rest of the world on trade. But hey, at least we can keep clutching our righteous indignation.

- how to remove illegals...he can’t deport 12 million because the courts will stop it...he should talk about the strictest enforcement with employers and causing them to self deport

- Isis - we can’t bomb them to the Stone Age without killing millions of innocents...he should talk about the coalition he will build to fight them and defund them

- how he will specifically change the trade balance with China without starting a devastating trade war that is counter productive

- how he will fix the carnage in inner cities —— create job training, encourage support of the police, create tax incentives for businesses to create jobs there, use the bully pulpit to stop the black lives matter crap and turn it to innocent black lives matter

- how he will work with allies to economically strangle Iran, not allow them to develop nukes...we need others to cooperate with sanctions

- how he will use the bully pulpit to encourage birth control instead of abortion and adoption instead of abortion.....and help fund real clinics that actually help women rather than kill their babies

- support of Israel, especially by developing our anti-missile system for theirs and our protection

- how he will use a massive new force with local and federal law enforcement to destroy the gangs and take away their weapons

- in diversity, I want him to demand diversity in the hiring of professors so that those on the political right have an equal voice in the system

- vouches, vouchers, vouchers for kids who want to get out of horrible schools

- how he will push to end the IRS and have either a flat tax or value added tax

- how he will encourage an army of volunteers to help people in need so they are not dependent on governmet

- how he will name Doug from Upland (who taught RE Law and Econ in college) as Housing Czar for Veterans to create the program to get every vet mental health, job training, and housing they have earned for risking their lives for this country. I want a promise for him that their will be not one homeless veteran living on the street

- how he will use the bully pulpit to encourage people to actually put into action the words of JFK -— ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country......get off your asses, stop complaining, stop taking from taxpayers, and help each other

- how he is going to make sure that the gay gestapo is not going run people out of business just because they can

- how he will get rid of public employee unions and forced dues that fund the RATS

- how he will prosecute Hillary Clinton on day 1

For the immigration problem, I have advocated giving them money to leave...it would save us money and lower crime.

I have worked most of my life in the private sector, save for the last five years. Government culture is so far different, and I have to go so far as to say inferior to the private sector.

I am a single issue voter: the survival of the United States. If we do not, and very quickly, get government spending under control, the dollar will lose credibility and therefore value. If the dollar fails, we will be under a world or regional currency. Our sovereignty will be lost. No senator has the skill set or network to handle what must be done. Now.

So is trump pro-life or pro-superstars only?

Be sure and read the last paragraph.....”probably not” “because in this case he’s such an outstanding person” (the child is a friend of his which mean only the elite should not be aborted)

Trump reiterated that his change of heart came from watching a child who was to be aborted become a “superstar” at the first Republican presidential debate on August 6, asserting, “And what happened is friends of mine years ago were going to have a child, and it was going to be aborted. And it wasn’t aborted. And that child today is a total superstar, a great, great child. And I saw that. And I saw other instances.”

But only one month later, asked by Jamie Weinstein of the Daily Caller in September 2015 whether he would not have changed his mind on abortion had the child he often referred to turned out to be a loser, Trump admitted, “Probably not, but I’ve never thought of it. I would say no, but in this case it was an easy one because he’s such an outstanding person.”
