Seriously? Making fun of his weight? Poor fat people, it is still ok to mock and be cruel to them. The man is doing all that he can including surgery to reduce his weight. People are just senselessly cruel to others.

Also, there aren’t many republicans left in the race and only 1-2 have any chance of winning. Rubio is apparently not meeting Christie’s criteria for his support. That leaves Trump. And there are legit pros and cons to Trump.

Maybe he recognizes that those are tactical negotiating positions. Ask for more than what you want and you might end up getting what you want. Everybody plays that game, though not so outrageously as Trump.

Also, Christie's most likely not going to run for governor again. He can't according to the state constitution, but he probably wouldn't win if he could run. So he won't have to face angry Muslim or Mexican-American constituents.
