Any tax lawyer would advise against his/her client releasing tax returns that are being audited. Plain and simple as that.

I understood this. Tax returns that are being audited are not necessarily the final word on someone’s taxes. He wants to release just one version of his taxes to avoid confusion or media spin.

Because if there’s multiple versions of his taxes then even there’s a valid reason for it you KNOW the left wing media will spin it into anti-Trump propaganda.

It makes perfect sense. If you're being audited, especially when you have a complex return with multiple schedules, you don't need to have copies out there floating around for the clowns at the IRS to look at, and pass judgement on, before you are allowed to present your explanations.
