"I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; " . . . Barack Obama 2008

How that turned out?

And who in the world was measuring accurately the height of the sea in 1000 BC?

And in each of the intervening years, to be sure that any such variation was not cyclical?

Ever notice that real numbers accompanied by real analysis are always conspicuously absent in these articles?

I practically live on Galveston Bay, the water levels haven't changed in 30 yrs.

(naturally tides & storms affect levels short-term)

... "(N)o local record measures global sea level," (Rutgers University earth and planetary sciences professor Bob) Kopp said in a Rutgers press release. "The statistical challenge is to pull out the global signal. That's what our statistical approach allows us to do." ...
I will not bother asking Professor Kopp where he is pulling that "global signal" out of. The answer is self-evident.

this is real people. the end is near. and we will never be able to stop it...

one gallon of gas burned puts 18 pounds of co2 into the atmosphere... 18 pounds. we will all be crushed under the weight of it all... women and minorities hardest hit.

Ok. Now tell me exactly how we’re responsible for it and how taking more of my money is going to reverse it.

When are they going to claim that the rise in global temperature will cause the atmosphere to swell into space and cause all the satellites to burn up?
