Just some of the more savory bits of cheese, plenty more whine in the full opus, including a beg for strangers to give her money because (surprise) she got fired.
Poor baby has to sleep under blankets(!), even thought she said she likes the weather in San Fran?

Sounds like normal adult life is too much for this poor fella. Guess it’s time to move back to his parents’ house.

The losers in life make poor decisions like wasting years and money going to college seeking Instant Unemployment Degrees which add nothing to their value as an employee.
Then, they move to an area of high living costs and plunge into more debt with their smart phones and credit cards.
Before they become street people, they try something like this or move back into their parents home.
Sanders appeals to these losers.

If she had trouble making the rent payment and bills she needed a roommate.
She got scammed on her degree if she graduated without the reasoning skills to figure that out.

Have you ever slept fully clothed under several blankets just so you don't get a cold and have to miss work? Have you ever drank a liter of water before going to bed so you could fall asleep without waking up a few hours later with stomach pains because the last time you ate was at work? I woke up today with stomach pains. I made myself a bowl of rice. Yes, sweetie. Most of us did. I'm sorry your parents failed you so much when it came to understanding the harsh realities of post college life.

Will you pay my phone bill for me? I just got a text from T-Mobile telling me my bill is due. I got paid yesterday ($733.24, bi-weekly) but I have to save as much of that as possible to pay my rent ($1245) for my apartment that's 30 miles away from work because it was the cheapest place I could find that had access to the train, which costs me $5.65 one way to get to work. Here's some free advice. If you're only making $1,466.48 a month, you can't afford to spend $1,245 on rent $113 on the train. Not if you plan to eat every day.
If you can't find a cheaper apartment find a roommate. If you can't find a cheaper apartment and don't want a rommate, find a new job. And if none of those options work for you, move to another city.
But at any rate...quit yer bitchin'! You make me sick!

So she moved there to be close to her dad, but instead of asking him if she can stay with him ,she goes out and gets herself a 1,245 a month apt. Knowing her take home is 1,466.48 a month. Probably hasn't bought groceries lately otherwise she would have known that 50 a month, to leave 120 for other necessities, wasn't going to fill up the belly sufficiently.
Instead of looking for a better job, or a second job to supplement her income, she concludes the best course of action to follow is to write a letter to her CEO explaining how unhappy she is with the level of training, low pay, and not being in a position she desires.
Then unexpectedly, at least to her, she loses her job. So now she is begging for money the newfangled way, online. Hope that works out for her, but I think her best chance is voting for Bernie. BTW, this is why Bernie is doing as well as he is. So many in this generation think they are entitled to a life their parents gave them. Perhaps that is why she wasn't allowed to stay at dad's.

Sorry, article writer, but English lit majors will not be able to afford anything decent in SF - and if you can't afford to live in SF, life there is harsh, just ask all the derelicts on the street. Your liberal icons can try to play with price and rent controls all they want, but command economies have a long, bloody history of failure and the market always wins. Should have taken a few Econ courses in the middle of the ego-stroking victimization curriculum.

I’ve pinpointed the cry baby’s problem: RENT TOO HIGH. Move to cheaper digs.

What a sniveling little twit. And now Talia's an UNEMPLOYED sniveling little twit. All those years in college and you learned nothing about the real world. And then you moved to one of the highest cost places on the planet, San Francisco, and you can't afford it? Give me a break!

Because 80 percent of my income goes to paying my rent.

Who takes a Job paying 1450 a month in a part of the country where cheap rent is 1200 a month?
You find another job, not complain to the CEO in public.
Seriously, you have a college education, and degree and you took a job that basically had nothing to do with your education that is an entry level position in a company.. you complain the corporate policy is you have to work there for a year before you can change positions in the company.... so why did you take that position in the first place?
There is no lack of job openings in the Bay Area... float your resume and get a better job.... or get some room mates and cut your expenses.
I agree you are in a financial pickle, but its one you put yourself in and you need to get yourself out of. Put on your big girl panties and welcome to adulthood.

I left college, having majored in English literature, with a dream to work in media. It was either that or go to law school. Or become a teacher. But I didnât want to become a cliche or drown in student loans, see. ... So, she chose a major that offered very few job/career opportunities in fields that she did not want to pursue. Then she made terrible life choices that included taking a minimum wage job requiring an expensive relocation to a geographic region with high housing, transportation, and subsistence costs. But her plight is her employer's fault because they don't overpay for her unskilled labor?
