
Toy boat toy boat toy boat... why is it so hard to say?
We were visiting Ireland just north of Dublin.
Somebody recommended we walk along some cliffs just outside of town and we could see Wales. I was sort of surprised. The narrowest point of the Irish Sea is 47 miles, but OK.
It wasn’t until a couple days later it dawned on me that they meant whales. (We didn’t see either.)
I’ve read a story about a shipment of rubber ducks that was lost in the ocean...those ducks have shown up in all corners of the globe, and even helped scientist understand the ocean currents better.
I did once... on the beach of Little Saint Simons Island in Georgia. The note was part of a school project written by some kid in South Carolina. I did write back as the note asked, but didn't hear anything back.
