Serious Question

Here is a serious question I want everyone to consider:

When Trump announced his presidential run on June 16th of 2015, if he had announced he was running for the DEMOCRATIC nomination, would it have be unbelievable? Could he have positioned himself as a "moderate" democrat and gotten away with it? Would his history have supported that kind of announcement?

I never said that. I said I would write in Cruz.

See? You are lying now. Typical.

Obviously you don’t want a discussion.

You only want to flamebait.

Knock yourself out.

There are two main factions in the Democrat party: the Clinton (mob) “family” and the Chicago mob. Between the two, they control enough of the superdelegates that the only way a candidate can become a nominee is to have the support of either one or the other. Trump could not have broken the stranglehold.

If that is so, I wouldn’t bother to ask follow-up questions.

The question is not whether or not he could have won. The question is whether or not people would have accepted the premise that he was running as a democrat.

Dissent on ONE topic could easily be explained as the “moderate” part.

No, it could not when it has been the foundation plank of the democrat party since 1950.

Touchback amnesty is something made up that people who know nothing of our immigration laws talk about.

Trump is both Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark.

but if they’re fighting on the same team...

Actually, you are right, I apologize. I had you confused with someone else who habitually melts down about Trump. My mistake.

It’s true, I believe Trump is no conservative and I would NEVER vote for him. Call that melting down over him if you want.

You make a good point. In some sense, you can say Trump is a “true” moderate, not a fake DC leftist moderate.

Trump in many ways is a Truman Democrat.

Well, obviously I think he could have done it, no problem, and I don’t think anyone would have batted an eyelash. I think they would have treated him more like a Bloomberg, but totally accepted the premise that he could be affiliated to the democratic party.

Trump in many ways is a Truman Democrat.

Good analogy. If Trump is a Truman Democrat, then Hillary and Bernie are Julius and Ethel Rosenberg Democrats.
