An Alabama fan “teabagged” a passed out drunken LSU fan after the 2011 national championship game and was sent to Louisiana state prison for a year, as he should have been.
That said, I won’t label Peyton a thug because of the one incident when he was much younger. He has shown over the years to be a pretty descent person.
By the way, I am an Alabama fan. We’re not known to be Peyton fans. But I do think a lot more of Peyton Manning than I do of Cam Newton.
I can only speak for myself, Manning is a good man and a great Quarterback. But he should have quit after his first Superbowl loss with Denver. I know they won this year, but that was due to the defense’s work. Other then Sanders, we had no offense. They should have given Brock Osweiler more playing time, he is the future of the Broncos.

I am a Bronco fan, but I didn’t see Cam Newton’s behavior as being completely out of line. He is a talented and young, and it is easy for him to think he is great when everything quickly goes his way early in his career. Peyton’s personality has never been as much of a show boater like Cam, but in his long career he has had plenty of times when he has been beaten and humiliated and had to take it. Those incidents have an effect on people, and now its Cam’s turn. Will it change him? I hope so, and for the better. He still has a long career ahead and hopfully he can learn humility. The press will love the show boating, but that really isn’t what fans want. They just want him to play well and win games.

Hi everybody, long-time Broncos season ticker holder (but recently gave them up) here. I moved to the mountains so no more season tickets. It was never the same with the new stadium anyway.
The media has always hated Peyton Manning because he’s not from a big coastal market, he’s a bo-hunk Southern boy with a drawl. At least Elway went to Stanford for crying out loud.
Right now Peyton’s hated because he looks so good next to Cam Newton, the media darling (Remember, Rush is still right, the media is dying to have a successful black QB to glorify).
Manning and the Broncos ruined the huge media adoration frenzy that would have taken place if the Panthers had won.
Instead the media got a triple whammy: (1) Panthers lost, (2) Newton looked bad on the field and (3) he looked even worse at the press gaggle.
