Common sense conservative might mean one that recognizes that the real world is not Black and White - it is myriad hues of gray. Anyone who insists on all White or all Black has already conceded the loss.

I would call him a 50% conservative and 100% Capitalist. That’s better than what the Democrats offer: 0% conservative and 100% Socialist.

I just got this email:
His support among veterans is starting to dwindle due to his refusal to acknowledge their emails.
Why have veterans@donaldtrump.com if he never even acknowledges having received them.
What Donald John Trump needs to understand is that many Vets are tired of being lied to, used like two bit whores , ignored and discarded by the Republican party.
Donald said he opened an email address just for us, but not one vet I know of ever get’s any sort of acknowledgment that there is anyone even opening them up.
My message to Donald:
Donald, do not think we will support the one or ones who treat us like disposable diapers.

Conservatives <9> Blown up the National Debt
Got us into two wars that are a joke.
Rich Lowry and Steve Hayes Please tell me what Conservatives have done in the last 20 years?
Held firm on a balance budget
Built the Wall that passed the House and Senate
You know Boys the PROBLEM might be the lies the conservatives have promised us and delivered nothing. Maybe that why Donald Trump is so popular and Conservatives

When there is a qualifier before “conservative,” such as “compassionate” or “common sense,” the person isn’t a conservative.

I hate to say it but when you think about it the Republican Party represents just a tiny sliver of the electorate. It really is a fringe party made up of the corporate cabal and the few conservative stupid enough to latch on the trifling bones they throw out on abortion and few other noble social causes. The Republicans talk a good game but DO NOTHING on the social front.
For all intents and proposes the Republican party is the fascist party of big government and corporations joining together to for political power. I call it like I see it.

Ronald Reagan was a democrat from California before he was a conservative. What ever Trump is its irrelevant. It’s the message that resonates with his supporters.

Is Donald Trump A âCommon Sense Conservative,â Or Just Mostly Liberal? So he's a fair weather conservative? When push comes to shove his conservative positions are always on the table to be negotiated away.

I won't name him, but one Freeper said it best yesterday....
" I was all gung-ho for Trump until I woke up one morning and realized that almost all of his positions were left of Mittens."

The term "common sense conservative" today equates to the term "compassionate conservative" of yesteryear. And we've already seen how well that has worked out for us. Both terms mean "closet liberal".

Trump may not be 100% Conservative, but at least he’s 50% Conservative with the potential of being better. He’s much better than all the other candidates who many consider as Conservative but already betrayed us while in office

You see “common sense” thrown around a lot. It falls into the category of what psyops calls “Glittering Generalities” and it doesn’t really mean a damned thing. It just makes a nice, soothing sound when you say it.

Trump is 100% opportunist.
He sounds conservative now, because that's what many people are yearning for, but I have no confidence he will remain so once in office.
I'll vote for him over Hill or Bern though.
