Nope this is not the Onion. Nor is it the cutting edge satire of "The People's Cube". It is, however, delicious irony. But, it's real and not so much fanciful.
Apparently, the Pope has declared the Trump persona non grata in heaven. St Peter has been sent an email from St Peter's successor that one Donald J. Trump favors building a wall on the southern US Border. We have no info yet on St Peter's reply, except he did mention that the "pearly gates" are attached to something.
However, we are fairly sure that Osama bin Laden clones have not shot their chances with this Pope in the way that the Donald has. His Popeness, Francis I of the walled city of Vatican has written:
Church relations with Islam have so far been positive under Pope Francis' leadership. In his apostolic exhortation he underlined the importance of Catholic-Muslim relations, and highlighted their common Abrahamic roots."We must never forget that they profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, who will judge humanity on the last day," the Pope wrote.
"The sacred writings of Islam have retained some Christian teachings; Jesus and Mary receive profound veneration, and it is admirable to see how Muslims, both young and old, men and women, make time for daily prayer and faithfully take part in religious services.
We Christians should embrace with affection and respect Muslim immigrants to our countries in the same way that we hope and ask to be received and respected in countries of Islamic tradition. http://www.christiantoday.com/article/pope.francis.and.organisation.of.islamic.cooperation.meet/35085.htm
Our advice to Trump is that he admit ASAP that Presbyterians are weak on venerating Mary, but that they hold Jesus in some regard.
Also, while there is no direct evidence that Jesus has built a wall Himself, or that He participated in erecting the YUUGE! wall around the Vatican, there is some sense that He is not new to walls:
Revelation 21: 9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb." 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates.
But that's probably just Presbyterian Heaven. And there probably aren't any Islamic Terrorists there.
I agree, he is an imposter Pope.
I would really like to know how they got Benedict to resign so they could get this communist plant in there.
“Like I said...whatever.”
Like I said. . .you’re lying and you claim to be a Christian.
“And he isnât even a real pope.”
Yes, he is the real pope.
“Heâs a replacement”
All the popes after Peter have been replacements.
“fake pope.”
Nope, he’s the real pope.
Fake pope.
Bring back Benedict!
“Fake pope.”
Real pope. Popes can retire. Benedict did.
“Bring back Benedict!”
Won’t happen. Deal with it. And stop pretending that Benedict was your cup of tea just because you liked his flavor a bit more than Francis’. Benedict was the author of Dominus Iesus. He doesn’t believe you have the fullness of the Christian faith nor does he think you belong to a Church. In his view (correctly) you’re a member of a sect. That’s the guy you’re cheering for - and that tells me all I need to know about how genuine your call for Benedict is.
To be honest, I preferred JPII, but I already know about being considered part of a sect.
I also like Franklin Graham and I’m not a Baptist.
You’re just upset because this sort of okay article I’ve written pulls your chain.
“To be honest, I preferred JPII,”
And he approved Dominus Iesus.
“... but I already know about being considered part of a sect.”
Not “being considered”. You ARE part of a sect.
“I also like Franklin Graham and Iâm not a Baptist.”
I like Franklin Graham too - and I’m not a Baptist - and I also don’t lie about what he has said or done. You might . . . if it suited your purposes or whimsy.
“Youâre just upset because this sort of okay article Iâve written pulls your chain.”
No, I just think lying is immoral. And you’re doing it. And you’re making excuses for it. It’s who you are.
He’s also a radical Marxist globalist.
Lying, cheating, sniveling, dog of an article.
How dare you be sarcastic and ironic!!
Take 40 lashes with a wet noodle, you chain pulling bit of black and white and read all over.
Oy. Pope Francis. A kappore.
ping
I’m having trouble staying out of trouble today
LOL!
“Lying, cheating, sniveling, dog of an article.”
That’s one of the few honest things you’ve said - even if that wasn’t your intention.
“How dare you be sarcastic and ironic!!”
What I said is true. What you said is not.
“Take 40 lashes with a wet noodle, you chain pulling bit of black and white and read all over.”
What I said is true. What you said is not.
Loosen up, Vlad.
have a beer with a vodka chaser
“Loosen up, Vlad.”
Lie less, xzins.
“have a beer with a vodka chaser”
Colossians 3:9.
When they vote for guy I’d most like to have a beer with, I’m voting for you.
I’m betting you’re a riot.
“When they vote for guy Iâd most like to have a beer with, Iâm voting for you.”
When they vote for guy-Iâd-most-like-to-stop-lying on FR, Iâm voting for.
“Iâm betting youâre a riot.”
Iâm betting you can’t stop yourself.
POPE FRANCIS: "Thank God he said I was a politician because Aristotle defined the human person as "animal politicus." So at least I am a human person. As to whether I am a pawn, well, maybe, I don't know. I'll leave that up to your judgment and that of the people. And then, a person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not in the Gospel. As far as what you said about whether I would advise to vote or not to vote, I am not going to get involved in that. I say only that this man is not Christian if he has said things like that. We must see if he said things in that way and in this I give the benefit of the doubt."
What part of that do you disagree with?
Why did the Vatican say they weren’t referring to any individual person?
