Why was my thread pulled for linking to images through HTML? I spent quite a bit of time putting it together and I haven't used html code in 8 years..and didn't have any back up copy making it unlikely I'll resubmit it.
images by getty or someone.
Because you feel free to waste FR bandwidth, but have not contributed a dime to the upkeep. AKA a parasitical poster.
Because you’re a grabasstic Noobian blowhard?
It was because you weren’t logged in, DUH!
I don’t think you have a lawsuit. :-)
It is Freeper’s Law, Similar to Murphy’s law.
Thee more time you spend editing and formatting a post, the more likely it will get pulled for no good reason.
This one could get good.
Some images, like AP, Getty and others aren’t allowed here.
Don’t know where you were posting images from.

Don’t put the smiley face, this is serious stuff!
Come-on, Mod, give him/her an answer.
I understand that but I’m just linking to the image through html.
Maybe it’s because you’ve only been here for 10 days, but you come in like gangbusters insulting Trump supporters and calling them names....
You just jumped on that ole train
Just Saying
That’s a shame. That was going to be the post that changed my mind from Trump to Cruz, but just as I got to the 60th paragraph, it just vanished from my screen.
I think it might be a conspiracy.
Because it had been proven wrong, you are a noob, its spam and a data drain. Just be lucky you didn’t get the zot.
Its a conspiracy Jim. :-)
Notepad is your friend! Format you post in notepad and you will have a backup. Also, if you base your post on an actual article, and use the exact title of the article on the web, you will have a easier time of it.
Getty changed their policies some years back, perhaps two. The whole photograph archive is available for fair use.
Don't know if FR has updated its policy or gray listed sources.
Was the link to a proper photo sharing site or a “hot link” to another website? The latter generally aren’t permitted because they bring heat on FR. The issues are consumption of someone else’s bandwidth and copyright concerns.
