Public urination has typically been considered inappropriate — and usually illegal as well. But one California city recently decided that people urinating in public wasn’t such a bad thing, as long as they were doing it in a designated, open-air urinal, according to Fox News.
In January, San Francisco’s Dolores Park was equipped with an open-air urinal following complaints that too few bathrooms were available, and people were relieving themselves wherever they wanted.
But not everyone has embraced the government’s sanction of public urination, as many citizens have expressed concern about privacy rights — for the ones urinating and the people who are forced to see it happening.
