Living in Arizona now, a Jeep is a real consideration. However, I have heard that the engine and transmissions are somewhat high maintenance with gasket and leakage problems that come up every year. What is everyones experience on newer models?

I have a 2014 Rubicon w/ the 6-speed manual and it has worked great for me. In 2012, Jeep started dropping the Chrysler Pentastar in the Wrangler, which does give substantially more HP and torque than the older engines. I'm about 30K miles into mine, and no issues whatsoever thus far.
