Red Lobster says it's feeling the "Beyonce Bounce."
The seafood chain says sales surged 33 percent Sunday, compared with last year's Super Bowl Sunday. The increase came after the release of "Formation," a song in which Beyonce says she took a man to Red Lobster after sex.
The halftime show -- seen by an estimated 112 million people -- is drawing praise from her fans and consternation from critics.

Sick stuff folks listen to nowadays.
I wouldn’t want to eat food anywhere that ignorant s*** mentions.
People actually listen to that stuff?
Just gross on multiple levels.
So, I suppose it could work both ways. If we didn´t like BEYONCE, we should NOT go to Red Lobster...because we don´t like Black Lives Matter people and the images of Black Panther Violence.

Probably wanted to see if it REALLY tasted like tuna.

But the sales of black berets remained flat.
LOL. I have never set foot in a Red Lobster, and I’m more sure than ever that I won’t in the future.
You may want to take your own hand sani and premoistened cleaning wipes.
I went to one years ago, but there was a huge wait and we realized they were telling everyone coming in the door “Twenty minutes”. After forty minutes we left and I’ve never gone back. It is 30 minutes away, and I just pass too many good places before getting there.
Their cheese garlic biscuits are pretty good.
“... is drawing praise from her fans and consternation from critics.”
umm, like what is this logic here? Fans praise, critics unhappy??? Who knew.
“Consternation” is not how I would phrase my opinion of the lyrics of this song. I would start with vile and crass.
Any girl that doesn’t like to cook is not marriageable.
Was it a lobster reference or was she talking about crabs?
Funny comments at the link; thanks!
It doesn’t sound like Red Lobster had anything to do with this, or Beyonce Knowles is in any way compensated for this. So if you boycotted what purpose would be served?
Living near Pittsburgh, we have many local non-chain restaurants to patronize. I’m a food snob. So what. I’d rather eat better food for the same price.
I didn’t watch the halftime show but I can’t follow the lyrics to most pop songs anyway.
That might be their best food item...which is sort of sad. About ten years ago my wife got served a meal there so bad she chewed out the manager for ten minutes. We did't go back for several years. Lately, the food seems to be a bit better.
