Your Dad probably didn’t do as many drugs for as long.
The End should be on the list of top 10 Burt Reynolds movies, IMO

That's my exact "problem".
Great synopsis on all. Thanks!
At that time worked with a girl who was ga ga for Burt. After work we’d sometimes go to a movie and if Burt was playing anywhere nearby - That would be her choice. Until Roger Moore as James Bond appeared on his films. Anyone remember his LP? :-)) he actually made a record and this was before he ever had singing lessons!! He has frankly admitted that fact.
HT:
And as to the BD comment — yes, the keyboard did tilt a bit on the reply, but you got the drift, I’m certain.
So what you are saying is you need a Brazillian on your back? Lol
Deliverance was his best. Best job he did of acting, too.
If he he made more serious or quality movies instead of some of those awful, goofy things the made, he might have been a big star. He was very handsome in his younger days.
That woman he married, Loni Anderson, ruined him financially. Witch.
Read that his health is very poor. Poor Burt.
Yes, just recently heard him in an interview that Loni did go thru his credit cards w/great speed. Makes one wonder if Burt really though that one through. From what is read - He and Tom Selleck have much in common with the institution of marriage. Neither made a great choice, from all that is publicly known.
Yep..and I never thought Loni was all that great.
With all the choices he must have had, why did he have to chose that witch.
Sally Field may have made him a nice wife. Seems like a nice lady from all I’ve read.
Love is blind :-)) It must have been ‘lust’ Burt was always considered a good old country boy (IMHO) Loni, more like a character from Sex in the City. Even the one and only character she played (the only one ever remembered) in WKRP in Cincinnati) she came across as the type. In a more subdued, likable manner. The true favorite of Burt’s work was in the short lived Evening Shade. That was a favorite when it was airing. Too bad it wasn’t around for long.
Do believe that somewhere in the many ‘memory boxes’ still have Burt’s centerfold pic from the Cosmo magazine. :-)
Didn’t like Deliverance?
This ain't Burt...
With ‘Bandit you get one of the great comedic performances on film, Jackie Gleason as Buford T. Justice. That thing wouldn’t be near as great without that.
“Give me a diablo sandwich, a Dr. Pepper, and make it quick, I’m in a god-damn hurry.”
Freegards
Mystery Alaska definitely was a nice movie. I had forgotten it.
LOL Possibly more Bruce than Burt!
If we had not been introduced to her at that time - we might have seen her in The Thorn Birds at another. LOL it took more than a few minutes to realize why the name was so familiar. :-)
Yeah love MUST have been blind in that case. I didn’t think she was so good looking or so hot- but then what do I know (being a girl type?)
And what on earth did he see in Dinah Shore?
I remember that Burt pin up quite well. :)
His mother? :-/
It’s my second favorite hockey movie behind Miracle. I thought Burt played an excellent part.
Nooo...I'm not saying that's what I NEED.
(By the way, do you know if they sell Nair by the gallon?)
