The current road to serfdom is very different.

The part masquerades as two parties.

The dictator is not a person, but a ideologically aligned band of elites.

Thinking is not molded by broadcasts from loudspeakers, but by artistic influences of “celebrities”

The economy remains nominally free, but subject to engineering through tax structure and regulation.

I’ve posted this link a dozen times here. I’ve been saying since early last year that Trump reminds me a little too much of the Strong Man.

Bernie Sanders is most definitely a “Beta-Male Strongman”

Excellent job.

Also there's that cartoon made in the 1930s/1940s that succinctly tells the failure of socialism too.

Socialism is a giant monopoly that imposes universal wage and price controls which leads to economic chaos in distribution and production. Centralized economic planning and bureaucratic management leads to anarchy of production. A socialist government by its very nature is unable to bring order to the economic system.

Yeah this is also a great illistuutatios of the points raised by Sowell in his book “The Vision of the Anointed”.

Top down ‘solutions’ have never worked and never will. This is the failure of the Left. It is also the same trap that people fall into who promises to get ‘REALLY SMART PEOPLE” who will solve our problems. THis is diametrically opposed to the COnstitutionalist and their faith in the markets and the people to provide solutions from the bottom up. Crony capitalism is a sickness we have and none of the ‘really smart people’ will NEVER solve out problems only free markets and free people can do that.

_________________________________________________________

The commonality here is that if you have “Really Smart People” you will solve problems, of course top down or central [planning has never and can never solve out problems.

Free people and free markets allow the American people to develop innovations never foreseen by the elites.

Trump has been an elitist and a Crony Capitalist. This is how he thinks, just find the right ‘smart people’ and make America Great again.

He really is a progressive at heart.

I have had these on my hard drive for years, every once in a while, the situation is right to post them.

The book is great. On my list of most influential books for me.
