Republican Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie has dropped out of the presidential race, reports Fox Business.
Despite a strategy that heavily focused money and resources on New Hampshire, Christie ended up in a disappointing sixth place Tuesday. Christie announced shortly after Tuesday's loss that he was retreating to New Jersey and would be reevaluating his campaign.
Another major hurdle to Christie's prospects was that he was very unlikely to make Saturday's CBS debate. Polling at seventh place nationwide and sixth in the next primary state of South Carolina, Christie faced an uphill battle with no clear path to victory.
Good bye Crispy, thanks for the Rubio takedown.
That’s okay, he’s ugly & his mother dresses him funny.
One prayer answered.
That would be a smart move.
Good bye to the hippocrite!
Good.Hope Bush comes to his senses soon too.
Praise GOD!
Thank you, Governor Christie. You were awesome Saturday night. You performed a great service.
>> hippocrite!
I see what you did there. :-)
And with that, I think personally any chance of Taking out Trump by the establishment dies.... I know they don’t think so, but I truly think Christie is the only other player with enough personality and X Factor to take on Trump head to head and have any chance of winning.
Assuming the Cruz/Trump rivalry gets settled, eventually you have Trump V Establishment, and Christie was the only guy with in the establishment wing that has any prayer of going toe to toe with Trump.
So long Chrispy. Maybe Obungo can give you a hug.
At least the boy who looks like a bubble took down the boy IN the bubble, so he was useful.
Not unexpected. His was a vanity run, all along.
Now would be a good time for non-viable candidates to drop out.
Definitely, after South Carolina, any candidate who has gotten less than 10% of votes cast should drop out.
Carson and Fiorina next.
Great Job Governor on prosecuting the Rubo Repeat! See you in the Attorney General’s office.
Good. Now somebody call Yeb’s mommy and have her drive him back to Texas.
I have found myself daydreaming about a Trump/Christie debate. The entertainment factor alone would make it must see TV. :)
