Donald Trump has led by double digits in every day of our tracking poll; in the last day, he tracked downward two points, but his nearest rival, Sen. Marco Rubio, also tracked down one. Trump leads with 34%, followed by Rubio and Sen. Ted Cruz, who are both at 13%. Gov. Jeb Bush is at 10% (no change), Gov. John Kasich is at 10% (up 1%), Gov. Chris Christie is at 5% (no change), Carly Fiorina is at 4% (no change) and Dr. Ben Carson is at 3% (no change). Little has changed over the course of the race and while New Hampshire voters are notorious for deciding at the last minute, it would take an incredible surge by a candidate to unseat Trump. At present, this appears to be a very competitive race for second place between Cruz, Rubio, Bush and Kasich.

Iowa had record GOP turnout....not because of CRuz, but because of Trump. For Trump to do as well as he did (maybe even better, in reality), in IA, is amazing.
Trump is setting rally attendance records, debate viewing records and....in IA, at least....voter turnout records. Hopefully the turn out record continues on. Like you said.....we’ll see.
Cruz, not so much.
Cruz has all the right enemies.
Interestingly enough, Cruz led the field in the younger demographic in Iowa.
Kasich very well could finish 2nd in NH.
but hard to see where he goes from there .... regional Midwest candidate. Minnesota. Illinois. And Mass primary on March 1.
What’s remarkable is Trump almost won Iowa (and may have) without a ground game. Just on the power of self motivation.
I am surprised also and agree that his weight played a part. Some still insist on sticking with the Robot even though he has accomplished nothing and pushes amnesty that would destroy this country.
Of course, all polling is suspect to some degree, and internal candidate polling moreso than others.
Still, I can't see any way that this debate did not put the brakes on "Marco-mentum."
That’s what I thought-—I thought Trump got a lot more than Santorum did.
The way delegates are allocated it looks like Trump can get 10 of 20 out of this result. It takes a ten percent threshold to win any in NH. So Cruz and Rubio might get 4 each with Jeb getting 2.
Most of the northern more moderate states and Florida have winner take all formats kicking in from March 15th on.
The GOPe still has until then to stop Trump.
Something for the books, that’s for sure!
Trump is a PRAGMATIST. He is neither a ideologue nor religious fanatic nor fiscal fanatic nor abortion fanatic.
Trump’s whole life is solving problems. He sees a problem, he gets to work on solving it.
First proof of that was how quickly he fixed the problem with the ice skating ring in NY city. That is his mode op operation. See a problem, devise the best solution, and go to work on it. Latest example of that is the US Post office in Washington DC. He observed the potential of it’s location, and put in a very high bid which nobody could beat. And now he is building the most luxurious hotel in DC there. With his knowledge and experience in construction of large buildings, it is already ahead of schedule and under budget.
Americans would be stupid to reject Trump and install another know nothing, smooth speech maker career politician as president. But do not hold your breath. We Americans have been electing lot of people who never worked in the private sector, and have been cashing government checks all their life. We will get the president our intellect deserves.
