Just damn. Anybody old enough to remember the booming voice of John Facenda narrating his music?
RIP Sam Spence. He brought so much enjoyment to NFL fans with the music he made for NFL fans. So hard to choose a favorite but I like “Game Plan For Sudden Death” for the impending doom in the kettle drums with the wavering strings declaring uncertainty in the outcome before the rest of the orchestra builds to a successful crescendo. Amazing these great songs were composed just so somebody could talk over them.
