In real life...grandpa is at least as socialist as bernie. I didn't know that, I knew he was a sports scout but I never knew or cared about his politics, he was just an actor after all.

I used to see Al Lewis at hockey games all the time. Really nice guy who would talk to anyone about anything.
Also went to his restaurant a couple of times. I think it was called Grandpa’s.
