To: Alberta's Child

It might not have been the best played, but it’s iconic. It’s got a nickname, everybody know who lost it, and it was pretty darn exciting, even if a failed play is the one that mattered most. It’s no Purple People Eater vs Steel Curtain
(my personal favorite) but it’s Wide Right.

Hey — the “Ickey Shuffle” was a nickname, too. But like “Wide Right,” the team that spawned the nickname lost the game!

And they even made an quirky indie film about it. Not sure I would 100% recommend it but it is different. Buffalo 66 (1998)
