As Iowans prepare to head to the caucuses on Monday for the nation's first votes in the presidential primaries, the campaigns are pulling out all the stops. The mailer sent out by one Republican campaign, however, might end up backfiring.
Tom Hinkeldey, a resident of Alta, Iowa, tweeted a photo (which was later deleted because it included his personal address) on Friday evening of a mailer Sen. Ted Cruzâs campaign sent addressed to his wife, Steffany. The mailer was a large card printed to look like a manila envelope on one side and was labeled in all capital letters, "ELECTION ALERT," "VOTER VIOLATION," "PUBLIC RECORD," and "FURTHER ACTION NEEDED."
On the other side, the mailer said in red letters at the top, "VOTING VIOLATION."
Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler confirmed to IJ Review that the mailer was theirs in a phone call Friday evening, saying that the targeting had been "very narrow, but the caucuses are important and we want people who havenât voted before to vote."

I read a story somewhere that the technique used to get donations in that ad was the same as what evangelicals use to get donations on TV.
Whet that particular thing posted on the net is the original, I do not know.
Probably going to be more than 10 minutes and probably going to cover every single mistake Cruz has made in the last week in Iowa ....
Sinking feeling that this doesn't end well for Cruz. These kinds of stunts typically don't work well.
-Actually, this was one of LIBBYLU's better posts.
-It didn't center on attacking anyone FR poster.
-It mainly expressed an opinion on how Libbylu plans to vote.
-Trump's name was mentioned 3 times, while Cruz was only mentioned 2 times.
Overall, LIBBYLU's posts are just like the voter violation letter. It turns people off and could probably convince them to vote for anyone but Cruz.
LIBBYLU is actually one of TRUMP'S BEST WEAPONS.
That's actually pretty funny.
And one of your tamer comments on these threads.
Just like with LIBBYLU, I would feel remiss if I didn't acknowledge how much your attacks on Trump, and posters who support Trump are what convinces people to support Trump in the National Election.
Heck, I bet there are hundreds of posters who were on the fence, but jumped firmly onto the TRUMP SIDE just because of you.
THANKS ! Keep up the good work.
If Cruz's staff is getting desperate they must know something. My guess is that either Trump's ground game is much better than they anticipated or theirs isn't working.
Looks like Trump's going to win Iowa.
Why do smart guys employ such terrible political strategists? And pay them with the money we donate? If this is what Ted has for campaign staff imagine the incompetence that will surround him as advisors if he wins the Oval Office. Which he won’t
Vote shaming .... Now there’s a motivator and morale booster for an intelligent voter base
Not
“So many “ consultants” are bright, young lawyers fresh out of liberal universities with absolutely no common life experience.”
Yes indeed! It’s the science of “herding the sheeple.” Too bad it works so well with those who’ve been conditioned by the media cesspool for decades. Independent thought has all but been stamped out and branded unacceptable. That’s the herd mentality that’s being pushed in this mailer. “You’d better conform or be branded “different”.
Obama did it
But then he was targeting low information dead heads
And ex felons and illegals
Every thread possible every day you tell us the same thing. What makes you think we don't see you are vehemently anti-Trump 24/7/365 and that we care if you vote for him or someone else? Give it a rest.
You’re nothing but a disruptor, probably a paid ‘consultant’, who shows up here every election year to cause trouble. Nobody cares who you say you will or won’t vote for.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
This is from the guy who claims he did not know he was a Canadian citizen until the Dallas Morning News pointed it out to him when he was 43 years old. He also forgot to list loans from Citibank and GS during his Senate run. Maybe he is not the most brilliant legal mind ever after all and occasionally does stupid stuff. The simplest answer is often correct.
The Sunday shows will be all over it. Especially if Trump mentions it.
Monday night, Monday night.
Must suck to go through life with hate and rage oozing from every pore. I’ll put libbylu in my prayers tonight.
