Ted Cruz just announced in an Iowa speech (broadcast live by C-Span at 7:10 CST Wednesday) ...
inviting Donald Trump to a one-on-one ("mano-amano" Ted Cruz quote) ...
debate this coming Saturday night ...
at Iowa Western University @ 8:00 PM-EST
moderated by Donald Trump's choice of either Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin or Sean Hannity ...
or all three (if Donald Trump wishes).
Jim Robinson ... since this thread is based on a "live" news event, I'm unable to provide a proper internet link.
.
Might as well have just done Me-again debate. Or have the NRO gang do it. Those 3 are in love with one true conservative who hails from Calgary.
Once again...a general never allows the enemy to select his battles.
Trump needs to ignore Cruz.
What's to debate??? We know their positions on the issues...There's no need to rehash anything again...So what, Cruz wants to try and pull a Megyn on Trump???
Trump won’t give Cruz the time of day, much less a mano y mano debate, lol. What a joke. Never give your enemy a platform to shoot from. Trump’s got Cruz’s number. Cruz will use this bogus “lets debate” issue up through the primary date, as he’s got nothing else to run on anymore. He lost his best chance to hector Trump when Trump bowed out of the Fox Debate. Poor Ted, had the rug pulled out from under him.
Another debate Trump can run away from.
“Way to go Cruz. Trump you have been called out, are you going to stand like a man “
Where people like you asleep for the previous 6 debates?
Jesus, tell that grandstanding troll to go campaign or go home.
#10 - that’s the way I understand it, but I don’t know if it’s any more binding than a republican loyalty pledge to support the nominee when it’s Trump.
>>theyâd do it in A NEW YORK MINUTE.<<
FYI, the correct expression is “New York second.” It’s a pun that referred to a time —70s I think — when New Yorkers were flipping real estate using a New York second mortgage.
Having said that, the framers clearly intended for presidents to be born on American soil. This is so simple to see. None of the early presidents could have been born as American citizens, because the nation didn’t exist yet. Neither could they have been born to parents who were American citizens at the time. So THEY COULD ONLY HAVE MEANT ONE THING: Born on American soil.
Cruz need Trump’s attention more than Trump needs Cruz; no matter how IA turns out.
Trump is skipping the last Iowa debate and there has been so much time devoted to irrelevant candidates at the sanctioned debates that there have only been a few clashes between Trump and Cruz. For this reason a mano a mano debate between Trump and Cruz would be very much worth having. Since when did Trump supporters get scared of more debates. Y’all have something to hide?
After losing Iowa, NH and SC, Mr. Cruz’s loaners will start wondering about their ROI.
Ted Cruz: I've got him right where I want him...
Trump told him only in Canada. He also has an event that night already scheduled.
Teddy pander bear is trying to get attention.
I remember how easy it was to holler at the tough guys after they were blocks away, Cruz can talk big now that there is 0% chance that Trump will debate him.
Big desperation time. Cruz is closer to the dead last guy in the polls than he is close to Trump. Much closer to dead last. Trump has him by 4 to 1 or 40% to 11%. Say goodbye to Cruz in four days and he knows it.
Your argument is completely flawed because there is a different clause dealing with people born before the U.S. became a country. I have marked the relevant clause with ((( )))
No person except a natural born Citizen, ((((or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution,))) shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
That is a perfect assessment of the situation . The Cruz folks are panicking because Trump took the training wheels off
If Trump is so tough he has every opportunity to prove it by accepting the challenge.
