Oh, you are serious?? I think they have medical help for that kind of delusional thinking. The only thing "genuine" about Trump's little event is his desire to be in the spotlight. Any help the veterans get is purely incidental to him. You talk about the $1.5 million from the super pac. Trump says he is worth $10 billion - how much of his own money has he given to the vets? How much before he started running for president? From all of the reports I have seen on his charitable giving (what little there is of it), helping veterans has never been on his list of priorities. There is no record of Trump or his foundation ever giving to any veteran groups.
Trump is having a venue honoring wounded warriors. No strings attached.
And along comes Cruz supporters saying they will only donate if Trump debates Cruz? That is disgusting. Trump has already debated Cruz how many times?
It is a stupid move on Cruz supporters part and frankly just disgusting that the only way they will give money to the wounded warriors is if Trump debates Cruz for the 6th time. No one is interested in a Trump / Cruz debate. We have already seen it multiple times. It is a waste of time. But what is unfortunate is the Cruz people to interject themselves into a worthy cause but then place a caveat on their donation, that they will ONLY donate $1.5mill if Trump debates Cruz, which he has already done multiple times. That is very disturbing. Donate of your own free will to wounded veterans or keep your money. Just stop being so political. It is a turn off.
What you can think about is that Trump is accustomed to picking the best advisers in their fields. He does not deal with dummies nor tolerate them. He did not get where he is by listening to every squealing squirrel who couldn’t find his nuts. Trump listens, he weighs things out. Then he comes to a conclusion. He will be a lot more open that what we have dealt with in a great number of years, but there will be some decisions he ill hold close to his chest...as Roosevelt did, as Eisenhower did, as leaders did before it became fashionable to tell the enemy what we are going to do before we do it. You can often tell a man’s core values by the people he admires. Who have you heard him speak about? General Patton, and General MacArthur. No greater Americans have lived in recent history. Watch him, study him,listen to him, and you will see flashes of both. Let that be an indicator for you. Patton and MacArthur were called Prima Donnas too! But they were great warriors and great leaders!

They have already debated and will debate aging at some point. Cruz was born in Canada. He was a Canadian citizen while running for US Senator. Still like Cruz but Trump will not debate him one on one. Trump is too busy and he needs to meet with the actual voters as he is doing by being on the campaign trail.

You are totally off base! Trump asked the Fox people to give some of their money from the debates to the Vets because their ratings were so far above normal...record breakers. They ignored him. So this time Trump ignores Fox and raises money for the Vets himself. Fox is going to be VERY sorry they snubbed Trumps request, then insulted him, then set a trap they thought he would be dumb enough to walk into. This is just another example of exactly what happened when they wouldn’t let Trump land his helicopter at the Fair. He rented the field nearby and gave free rides to children. Who won, the Fair or Trump? Trump did and he’s going to win this one too.BECAUSE he is doing the right thing!
